A poem for fan fiction writing. Sorry not sorry for any and all grammatical mayhem.

Poem by landbeorht reads:

In defense of that typo
In defense of imperfect grammar...
In defense of forgetting commas... of messing up geographical details... of spelling something wrong...
of sprinkling em-dashes like gasping breaths from parted lips in desperate moments...
of letting..ellipses. stack...and slow...the moment..to...a.. of forgetting spaces when youwantedtorushonward... of not remembering a detail...
of saying something twice because you thought of it twice... of going on and on for ages and ages, luxuriating... of rhyming when you didn't mean to... of rhyming when you did... of repeating a word you love... of leaning on italics...
In defense of the mess of Being and of the mess showing up on the page in scribbled sentences half-formed raw but intelligible
In defense of sitting down to write because you love because you love because you love
in defense of being a fan making fiction.

If you're using AI to generate fanfiction you're a loser. We write fanfiction for the love of the game, the characters, the need to fix a horrible ending. You use the wrong punctuation not because you're stupid machine, but because you graduated high school over a decade ago and forgot grammar.

Theodore Nott in a Weasley jumper. I simply love to ship Theo and Ginny. They work so well together. Both are chaotic, while Theo is sad chaotic, Ginny is happy chaotic. (In my mind Theo's father was responsible for the death of the Prewett brothers to add some family drama into the mix.)

Theodore Nott is wearing a dark blue Weasley jumper with an orange T in front while he is smoking a cigarette.

Outfit 2 for Draco’s first date with Hermione is here! 🔥When @elcieford.bsky.social mentioned a Jaguar in her vision, I screamed! My fingers itched to draw it! 😭✨ 🚫 Do not repost, edit, print, sell or feed to AI. #dramione #dhr #dhrart #dracomalfoy

I’m a PASSIONATE fanfic commenter, but sometimes it slows me down because I feel like I need to leave long notes. But, as an author, I know even a short comment matters. So I made a guide to make it easier. Hopefully this helps someone else too! #fanfiction #fanfic #leaveacomment #harrypotterfanfic

A RL friend had convinced me to read it together with them, and after holding hands through the first chapters, we were sucked into this story. Even after years I don't think I have fully recovered ❤️‍🩹 I can't wait to read Alchemised, (again just like it was with Manacled) together with my friend.

A little addition to this since I also wrote on IG a little more to this art. So I thought I add it here too 😊 Manacled is the fic that probably had the biggest impact on me. No other story has moved (and hurt) me on such a deep level and sparked the long overdue interest in fanfiction.

One thing I highly recommend: Rent a cabin in the nature for an extended weekend with your besties, decide on a book (or fanfic) to read together, bring amazing food, fun games, and turn off your phone. (Bonus points if there is a hot tub or whirlpool!) I tested that for you and it was 12/10 🥰📚
