I think it's so funny that so many different companies have all made toys based on Batman: Hush literally just because a) It's a comic that has basically every major Batman villain AND Superman so there's a lot of characters they can make toys of b) It's a good excuse to make toys of Jim Lee's art

I mean, as far as "borderline canon but not quite because the things we take as implication weren't meant that way in the eighties" ships go, it's no Wheeljack and Ratchet, but I'd be down seeing them more officially paired up in a future show/comic!

Wait. Is my drawing about a hero who completed all his quests and rests motionless REALLY actually about my father who is my hero? Who is paralysed and who has completed all his quests and is ready for his final rest? Did I accidentally do a deeper meaning? Nahhhh it's just about a toy!

I remember how we all wanted T30 Whirl to be full MTMTE because it was 2014 but now I'm so glad he wasn't. Doesn't look like we're getting another one any time soon so to have one with these vibes while we could have stuff like optional decal sheets is unbeatable. Big fave. Anyway I just broke it.

I think the most extreme example of my hyperfixation on collecting production variants manifested when I attempted to collect every possible character/message/age combo of these vintage Transformers birthday cards. Less a collection, more a diagnosis. Still, I’m never stuck for a greetings card!

A large pile of vintage Transformers birthday cards. They feature the characters Superion, Menasor, Galvatron, Ultra Magnus, Cyclonus & “Bumblebee” (actually Hubcap) and a variety of messages (eg happy 7th birthday grandson). There a terrifying number of possible variations and I still don’t have them all

A large pile of cards. Bluesky will probably compress them into unreadability but they all have different messages

Lots and lots of birthday cards. And this isn’t even all of the ones I own. And I still don’t have every possible variation!

The artwork of Pac-Man by Hiro Kimura made for the #Atari2600 release which went unused for being "too ferocious". It's a total departure from the game but also a really cool and goofy piece. Still a bit cropped on the bottom. Usual upscale/clean/retouch process applied.

Pac-Man unused clean artwork by Hiro Kimura made for the Atari 2600 release. Still a bit cropped on the bottom. Image depicts a human like Pac-Man running scared while grabbing and munching on rectangular pellets while ferocious Kaiju looking ghost chase him with huge open mouths filled with sharp teeth where the red one can be seen drooling. There's a blue sky with some clouds on the background and a little frog hoping on the bottom right corner.
