I took the plunge and resubscribed to WoW retail, after doing some research on levelling. Obviously, having my WOTLK level 80 Warrior be level 43 now is a bit confusing, and suddenly being on some dragon racing island got me all turned around. So I hit up Chromie, and we're doing BFA.

My WoW character was from Brill, in my little story for her. Forever looks fucking fantastic. When I recently went back to WoW retail for a month I was so confused by literally everything. The UI, the quest progression, all of it was just a jumble. I might be tempted to give Forever a go though...

Finally got to this legendary page in my Krakoa read-through and discovered just now that the artist, Joshua Cassara, passed away this week. Man...

Quick little commission for the school. Partner is using it as a creative writing prompt. I'm not so good at this sort of wishy washy non cartoony art, but it was worth a shot!

An A4 piece of paper with an autumnal tree drawn on it. The tree has a small door or portal in its trunk that is lit from within. A small red scarf lies on the floor in front of it. It's coloured in various yellows, oranges and reds with markers.

Anyways, that's Dawn Of X volumes 8 and 9 down. Volume 10 to 16 are proving tricky to find.

I've never been very invested in Rom: Spaceknight, but I enjoyed his IDW miniseries with Stardrive. I also really enjoy that he and/or his people are open game for comics, it seems. Spaceknights just showed up in this issue of Cable I'm reading, as I'm working through the Dawn Of X books.

There was a period of time in the Transformers YouTube reviews circle where it'd be like "Hey, I picked up [mainline generations toy] and like, this a fun toy, and I'm having fun with it, but it won't scale with your MP collection, so for that I'm giving it one star". 😐

From back in April. Y’all now know it was the Muppets I was working on. I’ve never had more fun drawing 20 pages and I hope that comes through when you pick up the book tomorrow. I’m so grateful for this opportunity.

The Emma Frost x Miss Piggy comic has hit the internet and it's so, so, so much more magnificent than I ever could have hoped for

Emma Frost: "Emma Frost, darling. I'm a telepath. May I read your mind to ascertain if you're telling the truth?"

Miss Piggy: "But of course, darling I am an open book, a tell-all memoir."

Emma Frost telepathically witnessing the entirety of Miss Piggy's life.

Wolverine: "Frost? She legit?"
Emma Frost: "She's..She's... She's everything. And I would die for her."

Watched Starship Troopers with the boy and we got talking about the 40k Imperial Guard. I have the Combat Patrol and I've been considering putting them together... The only question is, which paint scheme?

Original 90's Cadian Shock Trooper, in green fatigues with black and yellow camo, and black armour. The lasgun is, of course, red.

Cityfight Cadians art by Karl Kopinski. The Cadians are wearing urban grey camo with a red left shoulder pauldron.

The Mobile Infantry from the film Starship Troopers. Warm grey fatigues with cold/bluegrey armour.

The Super Earth Armed Forces (SEAF) from Helldivers 2. Light grey fatigues with blue armour.

This Rogue Trader-era art of an Apothecary has always looked like he's dunking a tea bag to me. I think it should be canon that Apothecaries first job when attending to the wounded is to switch the kettle on, but Dan Abnett and co would never.

One final thought on the TFTM86 of it all; Did it feel like the last time you ever need to watch it for anyone else? With Cullen's passing and the finally seeing it on the big screen and the Awakening short, it feels...done? Like it's time to let it live in the past, in my happy memories.

Seeing Transformers The Movie 86 in a cinema is like visiting church. I had my first taste of it on the big screen, after eons of VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray viewings, back in 2016 at TFN and I've been craving that high ever since.

I am still (11 years later) unable to grasp how the images of little Alan Kurdi’s body washed up on a beach wasn’t the final word on treating refugees with compassion and dignity. How we are we having attacks on the RNLI for saving HUMAN lives being encouraged by our media. I weep for our world.
