Color-blind mode is absolutely a valid accommodation you should be entirely allowed to use without needing to turn it off, and I'd push for a system that uses symbols or something other than color for this exact reason, but that's above the level of any individual bus driver to resolve as a problem.

Do they verify that the pass is valid by any means other than the color shown on the phone? Like, scanning a QR code or NFC or something? If that's the only way they can verify a pass, just by inspecting it visually, your hands may be tied in having to turn the setting off when you get on.

One important thing I did notice is that you will have to make a more concerted effort to maintain hydration. Bigger bodies go through more water even just sitting still, and I feel like the meds knock out both my hunger and thirst impulses. This is commonly reported, just something to be aware of.

But of course, I'd also love to lose weight. I've been eating better too, moving around more (and I've had more energy to do so), and I hope there are visible results there too, though I don't track my weight daily. I have a *lot* of weight to lose, and losing some would help with sleep apnea.

Even at the starting dose, the impact on my blood sugar has been *outstanding*. Like...unexpectedly good. Eating the same meal that used to peak me out at 210 mg/dL blood sugar now peaks out at about 140-150. That's closer to non-diabetic levels than T2D. That could be huge just by itself.

I'm on the starting dose of 0.8mg now. It tapers up every 30 days. The first 3-5 days was noticeable. Basically any food made me feel like I'd just had Thanksgiving dinner. Nausea wasn't as bad, but only because I slowed down eating fast. Those effects faded into the background rather quickly.

I researched lots of options, and this is a rather newer one that can be taken orally on a full or empty stomach, no timing restrictions. Plus, even off insurance, the manufacturer discounts it down to about $150-300 a month depending on dose. It's a lot, to be clear, but it isn't thousands a month.
