I went digging and found a Reddit thread asking the same question. The OP came back and said they asked around and the game devs had indicated the training data came from a paid VA, which is fine tbh. They also said someone on Steam forums called them "woke" for asking, which checks out tbh.

The AI disclosure for the game Foundry really has me torn. As a matter of principle, I really don't support *any* game with *any* use of GenAI...but I'm not sure if this crosses the threshold of unforgivable tbh. It sucks, because if they used it so little, all they had to do was just *not use it*.

Heads up on this switch, if you didn't read the email they sent out: GitHub is now requiring an explicit opt-out on using everything you feed Copilot to train its broader AI, instead of it being opt-in. Opt-out instructions are in the second image (and its alt text) below. Fuckin' GitHub. *sigh*

So @tsop.bsky.social got me into Hytale and then she ran off to go play Warframe or somethin, but I stayed and have been playing Hytale in my free time over the last month. Today I crafted the Harvest Trophy, a legendary plushie that needs 100 of almost every farmable to craft. I'm so proud. 🥲

Just discovered that one of my upstream Docker things (Watchtower, which checks for image updates and auto-updates) is being sunset...the goodbye message has a few gems in it. "...with a heavy heart, and some sense of relief..." "A few of the active forks...are full of AI slop" Lovely 😔

It's definitely legit...here's the post from the creator's Patreon indicating that BUTTM is the future and BUTT will still get essential patches for a bit but no new dev work. He also gave Patrons a free key (which is quite nice).

This part pissed me off. Yeah, a lot of people depend on these mods for accessibility, so they're introducing some similar features into the actual game itself, but since they control it, they're also adding a *penalty* for using them. A penalty for using the accessibility features! Fuck off!

PSA: Discord just introduced custom text displays for people's names as a Nitro perk. It's not just you, everyone's names look silly! Thankfully, you can turn this off. It's in the "Accessibility" settings panel, this setting labeled "Display Name Styles". Turn it off to return to the default font.

Heheh I broke something so bad in my software's update checker that it made a bunch of installations start timing out on every request and then re-requesting every single minute afterward. It's fixed now! Left: During the flood Right: After requests started delivering and went back to normal 😅
