A bunch of ones I did years ago, and five new ones. File name says which issue - there's prog 1-25 (not every prog) and the 1977 Summer Special. If you want to credit, I’m Silvercat17 on Dreamwidth or WingedTyger on Tumblr. First, the new ones.

What is a gradient map? It's an adjustment layer that converts the tones of your image to the whatever gradient you have. You don't have to work with grayscale images. While you can use gradient maps to color-correct and make adjustments, we're going use it to make stuff funky.

I made a whole bunch of icons from 2000ad about a decade ago (I've been through a few computers in the interim so I can't be certain) and I'm trying to continue the prog slog 2000ad issues are called 'progs' as in short for programme. So reading a whole lot of them is called a 'prog slog'. I thought it would be interesting to compare how I used to do icons (extremely simply) and now (sometimes extremely complicated).

There's an icon challenge called Leo and themed around manes. You know I gotta do Lion-O. Again, from the covers of the Thundercats (Marvel UK) comics. File name says which issue. If you want to credit, I’m Silvercat17 on Dreamwidth or WingedTyger on Tumblr

It's up! Renderhub Renderosity

Two things I'm going to releasing for free soon. They'll be on Renderosity and Renderhub. The first is a no navel geograft and the second is shaders for Thundercats style glowing eyes. A few years back I made a geograft that would remove the navel on Genesis 8 Female. The site I put it on (sharecg) is gone. So I've made a spiffy promo image and also set it up for Genesis 8 Male AND that it works with the new PBR skin shader.

I'm making morphs for Daz3d inspired by the 1985 Thundercats cartoon. Here I go over my references and my results.

I'm making a Jagermonster (from the Girl Genius webcomic) costume that can also function as a Steampunk / Victorian costume of an unspecified hussar (it's a type of light cavalry with really cool costumes). Of course, that means I need a nice hat. A horde of Jagermonsters in varying uniforms. To make life easier, I bought a vintage band hat (shako) off ebay.

I love these challenges because they fulfill that "numbers go up" urge. Here's a variation I h...

These are some that I'm not sure about. Loss / Recovery The idea is good, but it ended up looking like a gumball machine. With Recovery up, it's more obvious what my idea was: a funnel with balls piling up (recovery) or falling away (loss). Maybe change them from balls to stars and change the red background to something else?

Some more of the sketches I've done for the Story Sparks prompts deck. Here are some basic ones.

For decades, I've been poking at a deck of writing prompts that I've named the Story Sparks Deck (literally decades - I was doing drawings for it for one of my final art classes). But I could never figure out an illustration style that would work with the more abstract prompts. If you follow me on Dreamwidth, you may have seen the events I've hosted on AllBingo with the prompts.
