Filaments is a statement of intent for the label. It showcases many of the artists who inspire me and who I admire – as people and as musicians. Filaments are the invisible threads that connect us across space and time, transcending borders, binaries and barriers. A place between voids. 2/4

When looking for a name for this label I kept coming back to this image. I like the idea that the artists that will appear on Silver Threads connect with each other and the listeners across space and time in meaningful ways. That's why the stitch motif will appear on every spine. bit.ly/46haPVs

The booklet gathers some snippets of writing from The Pattern, a PDF booklet Jo shared with subscribers each month, along with Alterations Remnants tracks (collected on CD2) with "notes from my journal, reflections on contemporary politics, technical notes and my own learning from the project."

110

Silver Threads @silver-threads.bsky.social · 02/09/2025

The CD has been beautifully designed by @plant43.bsky.social, featuring Jo's artwork. This is the look for our label – the front is a playful take on the commodification of music. A stitch motif encircles the release and will connect future Silver Threads releases together across spines.

Alterations Volume One follows hot on the heels of Jo's @quietdetails.bsky.social album, Escape Now. It compiles all 12 tracks, 107 mins, from Jo's slow album project. The album has been mastered by @quietdetails.bsky.social with Alex's usual intense care and attention. He's helped in many ways! 💖
