This link provides multiple ways to view how many were kicked off SNAP in the last year. You can see where it hit the hardest & how many in your area were affected. You can break it down by Congressional District, State House District, State Senate District, County or Municipality. #MEPolitics
A map of Maine for changes in SNAP enrollment with the selection to break it down by State House District. House District 52-Bowdoin(part), Bowdoinham, Perkins, Richmond is selected.
Words to ver the map include the following:
“Change in SNAP Enrollment by State House District
July 2025- August 2026
Congress State House State Senate County Municipality[These are the options on how you can break down and view the numbers]
[Pop Up]
House District 52
Bowdoin(part), Bowdoinham, Perkins, Richmond
Change in SNAP Enrollment -96(-13%)
Change in child SNAP Enrollment -35(-17%)”

The map is also in various shades of red. The State House districts that are a lighter shade have less changes to SNAP enrollment while the darker red districts have higher changes to SNAP enrollment.

Susan Collins’ took campaign donations from a known Epstein client. #MEPolitics
Wednesday: Epstein’s billionaire client. Leon Black paid Jeffrey Epstein $158 million, and last month the House held him in contempt for defying its subpoenas. Susan Collins’ campaign took checks from Black and his wife three days after the New York Times exposed those payments, then took $7,000 more from his wife last December. Dan Sullivan’s campaign took their money too.

Harvested my carrots yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find that quite a few of them were normal carrot shaped and I wasn’t just pulling up a bunch of carrot pants. 🥕👖
A few of the carrots I grew this year laid out on a cutting board. Five of them are more normal carrot shaped and the one on the right is shaped like a pair of pants.

It’s perfectly round and almost completely orange. It also has exactly five teeth marks on it from either a deer or porcupine(probably the deer)l though). It didn’t eat it. Just bit it a tiny bit.

In case anyone else has seen that post from the Maine State Police and like me, wonder just what they hell they’re transporting exactly it is a “heat recovery steam generator by Barnhart” according to the MaineDOT. #Maine #MaineDOT

Oversized Load Transport to Impact Traffic Between Jay and Portland

Drivers should plan ahead for delays, road closures, and traffic pattern adjustments.
AUGUSTA – September 28, 2026 —The Maine Department of Transportation is issuing an advisory of an oversize load transport of a heat recovery steam generator by Barnhart. On September 29, the transport will begin moving out of Jay at 6 PM and will continue to the next holdover point of either Oxford or Turner until 6 AM. This move is expected to take at least two nights and will involve a convoy of support vehicles, law enforcement escorts, utility crews, and specialized transport personnel. This load will be moving very slowly and may cause delays.
Due to the size of this transport, the load and support team will occupy most of the roadway along several sections of the route. The load is 20 feet wide, nearly 20 ft tall and nearly 220 feet long. The load will take up the width of two traveling lanes. Residents and businesses along the route are asked to avoid parking on the street during the movement window. Parked vehicles could obstruct the convoy and create unsafe conditions. The route for the move is Jay: Riley Road to Crash Road; then Route 4, Route 117, Route 26, U.S. Route 202, Route 22, U.S. Route 1, Broadway, and Elm Street in South Portland.
Motorists may experience temporary delays, rolling road closures, and traffic pattern adjustments as the convoy progresses. Local police departments and support crews will be managing intersections and roadway access to ensure safe passage.
This transport is the first of nine total oversize loads scheduled to move along this route. After the successful delivery of the first load, an updated movement schedule will be released for the remaining eight loads. The next transports are expected to take place over multiple nights over the next two months.
MaineDOT appreciates the understanding and patience of the traveling public during this oversize load transport.

What a great setting for a delicious, informal meal with people who share your values and concerns!

Many of our legislative and local candidates have confirmed that they will be attending the event. You will have an opportunity to talk with them about their efforts to protect the interests of Maine people in this difficult time. We will provide more information about our guests and the program in the following days.

Announcement from the Maine Democrats regarding the firings, suspensions and attempts to unionize by CMMC nurses. #MEDems #MEPolitics #Unions #CMMC #Nurses
“Maine Democrats
We stand with CMMC nurses and their right to organize.

CMMC nurses are organizing for a stronger voice in their workplace and in the care they provide their patients. Now, as nurses prepare to vote on forming a union, 15 nurses have been fired and five others suspended.

Nurses have a right to organize and advocate for themselves and their patients without fear of intimidation or retaliation. The decision of whether to form a union belongs to CMMC nurses and Prime Healthcare must respect their right to make that decision freely.

We call on Prime Healthcare to ensure a free and fair union election and address the serious concerns surrounding these firings and suspensions.

CMMC nurses deserve respect, dignity, and a voice in the decisions that affect their patients and their workplace.”“Maine Democrats

Married to Susan Collins’ campaign manager.
From ProPublica’s article: https://www.propublica.org/article/fbi-susan-collins-navatek-campaign-donations-investigation

“Both Scott Reed and Amy Abbott remain in Collins’ inner circle. Abbott is the finance director for her 2026 reelection effort, and Reed again chairs the main Collins super PAC. Abbott, who is married to Collins’ campaign manager, referred questions to the senator’s communications staff. Clark told ProPublica that Abbott and other campaign staff were interviewed by the FBI and that the campaign was never a target of the investigation.”

“Abbot, who is married to Collins’ campaign manager” is highlighted.

Perhaps not D.C. then. Maybe returning to Windsor Locks, CT? 🤷‍♀️
Flightradar24 flight history for August 15th for a Black Hawk “Fury47”. It shows it left Windsor Locks, CT and landed at Fitchburg, MA. Then left Fitchburg, MA and arrived in Bangor, ME. Now it is currently in route from Bangor, ME to a destination still unknown. Assuming it’s backtracking the same route and will end up in Windsor Locks, CT.

Flight24 radar showing an Army Black Hawk over Maine. It depart Bangor l, Maine arounf 12pmish and is headed to destinations unknown. Callsign(?) “Fury47”. Washington D.C. maybe? Radar shows only one Black Hawk but there were two accompanying a larger military helicopter.A long military helicopter with two propellers on top flying in the distance. Not the best picture in the world. I am not a professional photographer.😬Two Army Black Hawk helicopters flying in the distance.

Not something you see flying over you everyday in Maine. Can anyone identify the third larger helicopter the Black Hawks are escorting? More pics in 🧵. Flight radar shows only one that departed Bangor around Noonish. Assuming headed to D.C? #Maine #Army #BlackHawks #FlightRadar

Went to buy more moving boxes. Ended up at the Topsham Fair after. Honestly I just wanted some fried fair food.😂 #TopshamFair
Seven piglets. One is all pink, three are light brown with black spots, one is pink with black spots, one is all black and one is all light brown. All but the light brown one are crowded around two yellow buckets filled with water.A rooster! I think…it’s got quite the red comb on its’ head and a flashy iridescent green tail and chest. Its’ head, neck and back are a cream/white/brown mixture. Fried dough with cinnamon sugar and powdered surface. It has a bite taken out of the bottom left.

There’s no such thing as too many books. Until you have to pack them all up.😬
A moving box full of books with a couple pillows in it so it’s not too heavy. The box is in front of my bookshelf sitting on top of a larger moving box with cat beds and cat toys inside.
