Played through Bit.Trip Beat and finally finished it and that game is awesome. Bit.Trip Core on the other hand...

That's awesome! I had no idea that book existed but it sounds right up my alley. I'll check it out for sure!

Just finished my 200th entry for @thevideogamelibrary.org. Been going Prima guides recently and it's interesting seeing turnaround by individuals on projects. Greg Off helped get three physical guides out in 18 months, including my 200th entry ICO. www.thevideogamelibrary.org/book/ico-pri...

I'm so sorry Max. You deserved better. Can't wait to follow you to whatever you do next if you choose to continue being a public figure.

Spongebob Movie Game, Jet Li Rise to Honor, smattering of later Tony Hawk and WWE games, Spiderman 2, Wakeboarding Unleashed, Jak X, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Destroy All Humans, 007 games. I dunno, I loved "meh" games back then that were still alright and I could play for cheap.

Wolverine seems like the type of game I'd rent from Blockbuster and be stoked on for like five years until it's cheap enough to buy and then have good memories of it forever turning me into a bigger Playstation fan. Now it'll just be $90 forever, I won't play it, and question why I'd ever buy a PS6

Kind of a Bandcamp shill but it legitimately tilts me when small artists only put music up on streaming. I want to give you money, let me give you money.

Demon's Souls 2009 win is one I think about often. Souls games aren't even for me, but you guys were way ahead of the curve for talking about how important that franchise would be.

A Jason Schreier book dedicated just to live service games would go so hard. 2XKO, Concord, Multiversus, some of the battle royales, I assume there's some MMOs that would qualify.

Gee willikers that's a lot of covers for one issue.
Picture shows a file directory on a computer with 35 different images in it all representing different covers for the first issue of Sonic The Hedgehog by IDW Publishing.

Hope it speeds up for sure. I was disappointed at the repeal plus hearing new plans might not be explored until 2027. Obviously it takes time to actually build the housing, so would rather policy be made sooner rather than later.

30 issues remain to be catalogued for the IDW run of Sonic for @thevideogamelibrary.org . Not sure if this is a common gimmick for comics to do covers that line up across different issues, but I thought this was a cool touch. www.thevideogamelibrary.org/book/sonic-t...

Since I posted about IDW's Sonic #75, thought I'd post my favourite covers from #50 as well since I just finished cataloguing it. www.thevideogamelibrary.org/book/sonic-t...
Cover of Sonic The Hedgehog #50 (Tyson Hesse variant) is a giant grid of rectangles. Each of them showing Sonic in different poses like they're frames of an animation. It shows him landing from a flip, starting to run before sliding to a halt, then starting up a run again before jumping into a ball and then landing and bouncing again.Cover of Sonic The Hedgehog #50 (Jonathan Gray variant) shows a border featuring dozens of different Sonic characters. The middle in the background shows what looks to be an old black and white Sonic comic. Also drawn in the middle in the foreground is Sonic and Tails posing. Along the bottom of the border is Dr Eggman and Dr Starline with evil looks looking towards the reader, between them is Surge and Kit with electricity and water around them.

A lot of ppl who enjoyed our Bulk Slash project missed this one, but it greatly benefitted from all we learned on the former. SASS is, if not the Saturn's *best* 3D game, certainly its *most* 3D game. And @silos.bsky.social 's Mission Stick implementation makes it the best Mission Stick game imo.

One of the weirdest things about documenting so many Sonic comics is learning about so many different non-game characters that exist. There's like 75 characters on one of the alternate covers for issue 75. www.thevideogamelibrary.org/book/sonic-t...

Loved what you said towards the end about the game's message almost acting as a metaphor for what's happening to it, I never thought of it that way. The conversation from randoms online who would follow Valve off a cliff and are crucifying the creators is rough to watch. Excellent piece as always.

Same treatment that Vile got. This sucks. But hey, at least "Talented Exorcist Won't Submit to Tentacle Demon" has only family friendly content so Valve allowed that one through.

Obviously no other boomer shooter looks like this, but the game feels pretty unique as well. At least in the demo, rooms are pretty small and cramped, but you're still trying to fly around while visual sensory overload happens around you. It's really fun. I'm glad it's landing so far.

24 years ago today Eyedea & Abilities released "First Born". If you played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 you might remember "Big Shots" from this album being on the soundtrack. It's kind of a weird song on an album about philosophy and mental illness, but I love it all the same. youtu.be/JpEdD1-6zOo?...

I hate AI as much as the rest of you, but weirdly it's inspired me to try and make stuff just so my life will never be surrounded by stuff I hate. Don't get me wrong I'm new and bad, so everything I make I ALSO happen to hate, but at least it's by a person.
