This week's challenge theme was 'Time Travel⌛' and @silkentine.bsky.social won with this amazing Sanji and Reiju comic!! We're making a few changes and will be taking a break next week, hosting a Valentine's Day event in the meantime! Join the server to participate: discord.gg/Q8D56udx

pictured is a comic strip - its primarily shades of pink and cream

the top panel sees a child sanji sprinting away from reiju who is reaching out her hand - it looks to be a moment right after the scene where reiju pushes sanji, telling him to escape germa and start a new life over.

she looks sad at this, tears welling up in her eyes as she lets out a sigh and wipes her cheeks clean. the last panel sees her turning to the side, heading back towards germa to carry on with lie without sanji

as reiju walks back, she says "be good, sanji", speaking to herself. she doesnt notice that there is a man nearby, leaned up against a rock while smoking a cigarette, until he says "he'll be fine".

it looks to be an adult sanji - he has long hair, curled at the ends where they reach the middle of his back. his mustache is curled as well - he's wearing a loose blouse as well as bell bottom jeans and heeled boots, hearts present on the jean's knees and back pockets.

reiju startles, asking "who are you" while tears are still in her eyes.

sanji responds "someone who's got your back. lets get you something to eat" as he kneels down to the ground, taking reiju's hand in his with his cigarette held away

My original characters: melancholic loner, Bat Valentine and busybody vampire, Camille Boucher! #ocs #vampire

A young woman (who looks like she's in her twenties but she's actually a 425-year-old vampire) with short, choppy chestnut-colored hair and red eyes. She has a mischievous demeanor, and one of her portraits has her covered in blood. One of the sketches is in a One Piece art style.

Fem Sanji! One of my many weaknesses is a girl who blushes profusely. #onepiece #girlpiece #sanji

Fem Sanji who looks like a butch lesbian with a crisp undercut that drapes in front of her left eye. She wears aprons that give her the silhouette of a dress and tidy, collared shirts, slacks, and cargo shorts that give her a clean, tom-boyish appearance. In the first pose, she stands with her back to the viewer and speaks into a transponder snail (she says, "Call me Ms. Prince"). In the center, there are two busts of her face, one has a determined glare through a pair of tinted sunglasses and the other has her with a rampant blush as she covers her face demurely with a loose hand. The final pose has her with one leg raised to prepare for a fiery kick and her arms above her shoulders in defensive positions. Flames glow from her leg as she activates the Diable Jambe attack. In most vignettes, she perches a cigarette in her mouth. Captioned: "Only Alive, Sanji, (Berries) 177,000,000"

Some of my favorite #girlpiece designs!!! Let me know what you think of them!! I love to yap. I've hidden some fun details in the Alt Text. #onepiece #luffy #portgasdace #sabo #usopp

Fem Luffy in a punching pose, Fem Luffy wiping drool off her chin and thinking about meat on the bone, Fem Luffy Gear 5. Captioned: Dead or Alive, Monkey D. Luffy (Berries) 3,000,000,000

She looks very similar to her canon counterpart, although she wears slightly more feminine clothing and wears two woven anklets, one is red and white striped and the other is blue with two hexagonal beads. She also wears small golden hoops. In Gear 5, she wears a sheer twisted bandeau top that covers her loose breasts. In the original post of this illustration on tumblr, her nipples are fully exposed. Search for "girl piece" on my tumblr blog, silkentine, to find that post more easily.

Fem Ace posing with one hand on her orange cowgirl hat and the other on her waist. She wears a dark gray jumpsuit, a sage green bikini top, and white knee-length white cowgirl boots with red flame embroidery details. Her long brown hair licks behind her like flames. The skull icon that usually hangs from Ace's hat cord has been reinterpreted as a sternum tattoo.

In the second illustration, she uses her flame abilities in a showy way and her jumpsuit is only worn half-way to expose her tattoos and a few pairs of yellow and blue wooden beads that hang off her bikini top.

The final illustration is Fem Ace with an anguished expression. It's a lot more obvious to see that she has one small red earring missing from her left lobe. It was torn out as a child and has left the lobe scarred.

Captioned: Dead or Alive, Portgas D. Ace, (Berries) 550,000,000 (Crossed Out)

Fem Sabo, in a cold sweat, is shocked at a headline on the newspaper. Her earrings are dangly diamond earrings with one stud missing.

Fem Sabo uses a spiralized flame power directed to the camera with her hand in a dragon's claw pose. She has a missing front tooth that never grew back from when she lost it during her childhood, giving her a charming, confident, gap-toothed smile. Her earrings are small red shells with three pearls each.

For her full-body pose, she stands proudly while holding her metal pipe. Her top hat sits on top of her Gibson Girl-inspired updo (with two loose tendrils that fall over her shoulders) and has a dragon claw hat pin and a veil that covers the large scar on the right side of her face. Her dress is similar in color to her canon counterpart's outfit but is a white blouse with a blue ribbon at the neck, a black corset with skirt hikes, and a long hiked-up blue skirt that exposes her legs, thigh-high lacy stockings, and structured black Victorian style boots.

Captioned: Dead or Alive: Sabo, (Berries) 602,000,000

Fem Usopp with her green slingshot poised at the viewer (the ammo is a small red ball with a yellow star on it). She wears a brown headscarf, blue fluffy earrings, and overalls with a bandeau top underneath.

Fem Usopp with a horrified expression and tears sprouting from her eyes. Her sniper glasses are prominently displayed over her orange headscarf. They are silver cat-eye frames with target details and red lenses. Her earrings are red and teal star designs and she wears an orange tank top with triangular metal fastenings.

In her full-body pose, she is jumping triumphantly. She wears a leather, structured top that resembles archery armor over a red silk bandana as a shirt. Her pants are loose, green, and gather at the ankles above her strappy sandals. She has a lovely white pashmina-inspired scarf around her waist with golden tassles that flows away from her as she jumps. She has a green and blue patterned headscarf tied into a knot supporting her tight dreads on top of her head.

Captioned: Dead or Alive: God Usopp (Berries) 500,000,000

Chopper as a girl ♡ I wanted her ribbons to look like ponytails and to bring out the Christmas-y inspiration in her outfit! (I made her antlers smaller and her hooves fluffier too) #tonytonychopper #chopper #onepiece #girlpiece

Chopper from One Piece redesigned as if the characters was a girl. As a reindeer with a human mind, she looks very similar to her canon counterpart in proportion and color (blue nose, light brown fur, hooves) . Her pink hat is pointed like a witch's hat and has a white cross design and two periwinkle ribbons that spiral down like Hatsune Miku-esque ponytails. She wears a maroon romper with shorts and a pink quilted, sherpa-lined bolero jacket that has a cute white pompom at the neck. She has an exuberant smiling expression with her arms tossed up excitedly as she calls, "Luffy!"

Oops, ALT TEXT: a bust of Koby from One Piece presented as a girl with wavy shoulder-length pink hair with a flowery bandana tied up like a bow and round glasses perched on top of her head and an unzipped white tracksuit top. She has a small X-shaped scar on her forehead.

Also, just one more screencap I wanted to share: (the emotional range in the characters makes me soooo envious. I am studying ✍️)

A young, brunette girl in judo garb huffs in exertion (she's just thrown another child during practice). The next panel shows her face distorted into a prideful, malicious grin. She finds satisfaction in her own strength and ability at the expense of the off-screen opponent.

Continued from previous image, her face is not longer malicious but instead simply proud of herself, as if that previous intense emotion was just for a split second. She beams and tosses her fists in the air in triumph.

The characters in this comic are flawed and angry and are often in the wrong, but they're given the opportunity to listen to each other and express their own feelings (even if it's not particularly healthy). If you're interested in funny, grounded interpersonal drama, give No Home a read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A character with brown hair and glasses reacts to something shocking by gasping. His features pop off his face cartoonishly. The juxtaposition with the previous panel where he is straight-faced made me laugh.

My favorite character is Eunyung (this is not a surprise if you know me, I tend to like his type), and the way that he's able to flourish once he has a place he can live safely (enough) in makes me tear up. Haejoon, also, is one of the best protagonists I've ever read.

Eunyung, a teenage boy with blond hair that reaches his collarbone and is tied back, is radiant with sparkle and rose effects that show off how charming he is.

Eunyung and Haejoon (a boy with cropped black hair and an intense gaze) stare each other down with disdain.

I finished No Home by Wanan (scanlated by WhataFruit), and it was exceptional! The earnest way that the author represents the rough situations that the characters live in and how their friendships bring them comfort (even if it's begrudgingly) really resonated with me.

The cover for No Home featuring the title (written in Korean) and the two protagonists sitting on a step in from of their "haunted" dormitory. The façade of the house behind them is covered in charms and talismans that evoke a creepy feeling. The overall feeling of the illustration is mundane, like the feeling of waiting for the bus or needing a moment to detox after a busy day.

You're allowed to make a fictional man look all sensual on the cover of a fake magazine. No one can stop you. The proof is in the pudding: #onepiece #sanji #digitalart

Sanji from One Piece drawn in the style of a Norman Rockwell painting. His hair is wavy and ends in curls, covering one eye. The other eye looks at the viewer with a focused gaze. He wears a blousy red collared shirt and hold a hand against his own neck gracefully. Text surrounds him mimicking captions of an editorial magazine. In order, from top to bottom, it reads: ALL BLUE, Silkentine, Spring 2024, Red Leg Zeff's prodigy, Momoiro Island's master of Newkama Kenpo: "99 Vital Recipes," and the King of the Pirate's beloved personal chef, Blackleg Sanji. Featured Dish: Bellemere's Roast Duck with Special Mikan Sauce, a simple way to eat gourmet while on a budget. Cosette Tells All! Germa 66's Head Chef blows the whistle on the royal family's disturbing administrative practices and horrifying treatment of staff.
