Thank you Saurav for taking leadership. Remember that removing Gaynesh unlikely change anything, until law is reformed so that independent EC is elected. Modi will appoint another good replacement. Its a very long fight we have to continue, light only after a long dark tunnel.

Do you go to the police if you face any crime-related problem? Me? Unlikely. I don't have any trust in the police. People fear police as much as goons. That's why the entire police force is used to stop peaceful protestors rather than catch criminals.

In order for the population to decline quickly, about 40–50 parents need to have only one child. We will not have a resource crunch, but rather problems of economics and governance. bsky.app/profile/data...

🧵 As incomes rise and access to education and healthcare improves, women around the world have chosen to have fewer children. India, too, has seen a stunning decline in family sizes over the last 50 years. #Population #Fertility #TFR #India #DataForIndia
Title: Large families are becoming increasingly uncommon in India

Sub-title: Share of mothers by the number of children they have, over time

Explanation: The share of mothers with five or more children fell from 27% in 1993 to 8% in 2021, while the share with two children rose from 21% to 39%. Over the same period, the share with one child increased from 17% to 21%, the share with three children rose slightly from 20% to 22%, and the share with four children declined from 15% to 10%. The data excludes women with no children and includes sampled women ages 15–49.

He pressed for equal rights for Dalits, women and minorities, an economic model that is equitable and sustainable, and the cultivation of non-violence.

The argument made by opposition parties is really flawed. Boycotting doesn't mean just boycotting n doing nothing. They need to protest, mobilize, n organize some 60% of the people (supporters) to gherao polling booths if elections are still conducted after boycott. bsky.app/profile/scro...

No tear gas. No lathi charge. No water cannons. No pellet guns. We protest peacefully. We demand accountability. If police use these tactics against peaceful protesters, they are the criminals—not we. Forces must protect rights, not punish dissent. Peaceful protest is not a crime.

A lot of liars really like to reference common sense. Too many cars driving too much in your city because of #CarDependency is the opposite of common sense. Polluting your air and fuelling #ClimateChange while limiting choices in how we can get around in cities is the opposite of common sense.
