I made a wild statement about #photography, saying shooting above f0.95 is ridiculous 😶

Today I have once again discovered people have no sense of sarcasm on Social 😅

Hi! More Cosplay photography in 2025 so following this decision, you can book me from today onwards. You can still shoot TFP with me, but I’m limiting this to concepts I’m working on as a producer. There are options to remain accessible for growing Cosplayers and a workshop for beginners.

Consider it done! I like the way you combine Family and Fantasy portraiture. Makes for very dynamic and emotion-focused style 🙌🏽

One thing that's always been odd to me, is the lack of PR within the Cosplay community. I see the sporadic kotaku listicle pass by (here's 10 cosplays spotted at [event]), but there's very few costume breakdowns or press in general. Opinions? I have some assumptions, but curious to what u think!

Ah yes, the "let's do a small scale photoshoot to celebrate Arcane" to "Hi yes, is this Riot Games?" pipeline.

Stupid Riot Games making a stupid series called Arcane, based on a stupid game called League of Legends, making me spend a stupid amount of money on a stupid Skin line and merch 💀

Togkaido '24 3 days of being huddled on a bridge for a whole weekend, making cool stuff with cool people wearing costumes. And being on the other side of the camera for once 🫡 📸: hovermediacosplay (IG) #cosplayphotographer

Did I just rewatch Arcane S02e07 frame by frame to set up a creative photoshoot? Why yes. Yes I did. And yes, I pretended like it was the first time. And yes, I got emotional again.

Absolutely, we have some organisers helping us in this, but still a long way to go. Thank you for paving the way forward ❤️

I've received this news from a cosplayer I follow. Incredibly sad to read, but definitely worth all the praise!

See a tip, share a tip! This one's for Cosplay photography beginners: If you want an easy icebreaker when approaching a Cosplayer, consider getting a little charm for your camera, or a hotshoe cover. If it's relevant to the costumes you want to photograph, draw their attention to it. ezpz

Ah, yeah. Thinking back, that checks out 😅 I'm just gonna keep yapping through my shoots. It's more fun that way for me and it helps me deliver photos people cherish that little bit more (or so I believe 😂)

Right?? Like, I'm aware that I might pull the comms aspect into the extreme since that's what I do for a living. But communicating in regards to getting to know eachother, or the character they're cosplaying, seems like an obvious thing to do? I was so confused😵‍💫

Ever got in an argument with another photographer, telling you that you spend too much time talking to the model instead of taking pictures of them? How do you deal with that?

I ordered takeaway breakfast to save time. Then I subsequently forgot to have it, because I wanted to save time.

Man, moving to a small city from a village is pretty jarring. I don't need to hunt for breakfast anymore, just need to pay someone an exorbitant amount of money to deliver it to my house.
