I’ve started building Oriel in public. It’s an early-stage, source-build-only macOS time tracker for people who want accurate project time tracking without sending their activity history to a hosted service. 🧵

Screenshot of Oriel, a dark-themed macOS time tracking app. The interface shows a timeline of recorded computer activity alongside manually logged time entries, with an AI assistant suggesting project-based time logs based on captured activity.

Blue hour in Rotterdam 🌙

Four-panel photo collage shot at blue hour on the Erasmus Bridge cycle/pedestrian path in Rotterdam. The top two panels show the view along the curved red asphalt bikeway, with the bridge's distinctive white pylon and cable stays rising on the left and the Rotterdam skyline – including the KPN Tower and surrounding high-rises – visible across the Maas in the background. Street lighting casts a warm orange glow on the path against the deep blue twilight sky. The bottom two panels are tighter shots of the KPN Tower complex, where a thin crescent moon is visible low in the sky between the buildings, adding a quiet focal point to the urban scene.

Created a "set and forget" system prompt designed to handle any query with max. analytical precision. It acts as an auto-adapter: it analyzes your question, assigns itself the specific expert persona required (e.g. Plumber, Boxing Coach, Therapist) and validates your input before answering.

Obsidian can be as complicated or as simple as you want it to be. I'm keeping it lean this time with help of 3 "vault rules": ONLY enable-or-add features when absolutely needed NEVER pre-optimize, ever WRITE FIRST, format later

Quick CSS fix for inline code elements with background colors. 1. Force `display: inline` to allow fragmentation. 2. Apply `box-decoration-break: clone` to ensure consistent padding and border-radius when wrapping. #Webflow

One smart bulb changed the entire mood of my workspace 🎨

A wide shot of a home workspace illuminated by cool blue overhead lighting. The desk features a laptop on a stand, surrounded by a white wall-mounted pegboard holding stationery and a wire grid displaying art prints. To the right, a white shelving unit holds books and supplies, with a jacket hanging from the side.

A high-angle, close-up view of a tidy desk setup bathed in warm red ambient lighting. A MacBook sits on a riser displaying a starry night wallpaper, positioned above a wireless keyboard and trackpad. To the left is a potted plant, and to the right are a white monitor arm, a gold rotating candle holder, and a glass of water on a coaster.

A low-angle abstract shot looking up at a doorway and transom window. An intense, moody green light emanates from the room behind the door, casting a glow onto the ceiling and surrounding walls while leaving the foreground in shadow.

☑️ Officially subscribed to Wized (locked in that Cyber Monday deal) I debated using AI to write vanilla JS to save €, but while AI speeds up writing code, I often lose the mental model of how it works. I need control over my logic. Wized gives me the map; AI just gives me the destination. Let's 🛠️

I added string lights to my balcony and made it rain-proof ☺️

Night photo of a narrow, cozy balcony. A light green wooden Adirondack chair is centered against a white brick wall. String lights illuminate the space and drape along a metal railing on the right. A black lantern on a small side table casts distinct shadows to the left.

Moved my workspace to a dedicated room, cozy and quiet, a little while ago. I really enjoyed decorating the space. This week, I kicked off a new client project too. 🌿💻🏺

Overhead view of a compact home office workspace with white standing desk, ergonomic chair, and metal shelving cart containing notebooks and supplies, white painted walls with botanical artwork and yellow/brown backpack, window with autumn foliage visible outside.

Bird's eye view of minimalist home workspace featuring white desk with wire mesh shelving, white office chair, pegboard and grid wall organizers displaying prints and tools, potted plants, ladder hanging on the wall.

Front view of clean desk setup with MacBook Pro on laptop stand, white keyboard and trackpad on light green desk mat, ring light, white metal shelving unit with books and supplies, pegboard with measuring tapes and small items, window with natural daylight.
