Ive changed direction and am now dual-booting Mac OS Yosemite with Linux Lubuntu instead of Windows 11 (first time ever using Linux!). At least those parts are stable now. Had the emulator running for a few minutes last night before a kernel panic error. 😮‍💨

This will be no different that someone trying to copy a popular streamer or youtuber and wondering why it's not working. You can draw parallels with the Matt Mercer Effect in DND. Just because you are doing the thing that made someone else popular doesn't mean it will work for you.

A friend sent me a Pomupomupurin Gigan! Gigan has been a favorite kaiju of mine since I first saw him as a kid. #godzilla #gigan #Pomupomupurin #hellokitty #mcdonald's

A Pomupomupurin from Hello Kitty dressed as the kaiju Gigan from the Japanese Godzilla movies. The figure is a collaboration between Hello Kitty and Godzilla and the figures are semi-randomly in McDonald's Happy Meals... which is a sentence I never thought I would type.

I think the OoT trailer is gorgeous. Whether it's an appropriate style for LoZ is for others to debate. I think it's pretty good. My concern is it keeping that fidelity and that 60 fps smoothness on the Switch 2. Some of it looked graphically intense.

Okay.. I think Ive got this retro station mostly sorted... mostly. Some random crashes but Im hoping some driver updates can take care of most of those.

Day 3 of trying to turn my 2011 Mac Mini into a retro game station. Got ahead of myself and instead of Bootcamp, I just wiped the drive and installed Win11. It tried but some missing drivers from BC were causing crashes. Currently reinstalling OSX to start over.

Only ~$8 million?!?... with "millions" of players eligible? So everyone's getting like $00.25? Like if bare min to qualify as "millions" is 2 million players that are eligible, that's not even $4 each since it wasnt a full $8mil settlement. They'll lay off 2-3 thousand devices to make up for it.

Doggust day 20: Some things lost to AI. 📝 #doggust2026

A yellow dog is amazed looking at a poster on a pillar that says "graphic design". Below is a close up of the poster. There's a yellow dog on it at an old computer an the text above says either "graphic design is my passion" or "graphic design my is passion." It's unclear, due to the graphic design. There are several pull tabs below that just say "help."

Text reads: "I like every weird handmade poster."

I really love how Japan writes their advertisements. When I see "Please look forward to..." statements, it gives me a satisfaction that big bold U.S. adverts don't. We tend to overhype, well, everything in the U.S. So a subtle setting of expectations resonant better with me.
