iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Update: They are now here! Huzzah! (For those wondering, I'd ordered That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime light novels 14-17, which completes my English collection until book 23's translation finally comes out.)

000

Wait, I can just put an align property in <hN> tags? Sweet! Take that, random div's!

000

The like is for sympathies, because that's a frustrating situation. Insta seems to be an awful platform for nude models, an opinion I've formed based solely on how often I see a post here (or previously on Twitter) that's something to the effect of, "I lost my old Insta account, here's my new one!"

One of the more important things I've been slowly internalizing is that I don't have to grow up to be anyone but me.

000

I've been wondering the same thing myself. From what I've heard, it sounds like it's just because it's old enough of a platform to be well established and widely used?

I like what we do with voting here in Washington State. It's entirely a mail-in system, which means we have a couple of weeks to fill out our ballots. This gives time for research! And to help with that, we get pamphlets with candidate statements and info for other things like initiatives.

000

I think the TV ads do have an impact with less-informed voters because name recognition can apparently give a boost. I agree that journalists could be doing more to help inform us, and that polling data isn't useful to focus on, now that you mention it. I hadn't thought to question it before.

Japanese's ability to be vague can lead to some really awkward translations sometimes. XD

000

I remember, when I was a kid, the idea that there could be more than 151 Pokémon blew my mind. I think I hadn't realized that people just *made them up*. Like, when I was that young, stuff just kinda popped into existence. It wasn't until later that I understood that things are made by people.

000

That's a neat look. Her hair is an especially interesting color.

Yes! The books I ordered are "Out for delivery" and should indeed be arriving today!

000

I'm waiting on a shipment of books to arrive, and I think that influenced my dreams last night, because I had one where a UPS truck pulled up next to our house and kept unloading various sized packages for my dad, and I kept hoping maybe my box would be there among them.

Another one: sientir.neocities.org/anime/2026_s... My (somewhat short, definitely has spoilers, but not as much as some) review of Daemons of the Shadow Realm. Weird title choice, I'm pretty sure that isn't at all a translation of the Japanese name (Yomi no Tsugai), but here we are!

I really do find myself circling around the same ideas again and again. I do keep figuring out new things each time, but it's clear to me that I also forget how much I've already explored... (This might sound mysterious, but once I finish some of what I'm working on, I might just share.)

000

I'm tired of tech hype-trains that go nowhere, but sucker a bunch of people into climbing onboard. :/ There've been so many lately. It's really frustrating.

000

How is this pink paint so incandescent?!

000

I finished a review of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 (at least, the two cours released so far): sientir.neocities.org/anime/2026_s... Warning: It does contain spoilers. And also a summary up through season 3. A very brisk one. Very brisk.

Every now and then Discord gives me a little three-option survey about how a call went, but that only ever seems to happen for calls that went well. XD

000

It most certainly is.

Sientir @sientir.com · 06/10/2026

I don't get it, is the cat named "Mia" or "Felix"? 🤣😹

100

This change means that those who want foils of commons and uncommons will have to seek them out, while those of us who don't want them won't be inundated with them. That seems like a win/win to me. My biggest concern is how it'll feel to open a "god pack" in a draft. Or how it'll affect sealed.

000

These changes are interesting. I'm overall in favor of them! What is particularly interesting to me is the dynamic created by removing common/uncommon foils from the regular Booster Pack.

100

Ah, yes. The Standard Airport Experience, eh? I know whenever we had a layover in Minneapolis, it always seemed like the departure gate was on the opposite side of that rather enormous airport from our arrival gate...

Sientir @sientir.com · 03/10/2026

Yeah, they are kinda arbitrary names. Vintage is basically everything, and Legacy is everything minus the most insane stuff (like moxen, Black Lotus, et cetera).

060

I love how much her skin and hair contrast with the verdant green around her, and reflections in water are fun. :D

Sientir @sientir.com · 03/10/2026

I'm somewhat thrown off by the fact that October is 10 because I'm used to writing 0X for the month part of the date. I keep having to catch myself! A small thing, but an interesting one, I thought.

Sientir @sientir.com · 03/10/2026

Thank you for the website and keeping it going! I've enjoyed my simple HTML there immensely. :)

Sientir @sientir.com · 02/10/2026

I just thought of this possibility because I was writing October out for hopefully somewhat obvious reasons. XD

000

Sientir @sientir.com · 02/10/2026

I keep wanting to write "octagram" (which seems to mostly show up in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, since the typical shape in English is an octagon) as "octogram," and I wonder if that's because of October being "octo" and not "octa," maybe?

Making a budget was one of the smartest financial things I did. It lets me process cash flow and understand when I'm able to spend money on things I want, and when I have to avoid (or wait before) doing so. It's so helpful being able to make informed financial decisions!

000

The fact that the names are similar, but the genres are so wildly different, amuses me.

000

MineCraft is a game where you mine for resources that you then use to craft things. StarCraft is a game where you command a sci-fi army in battle.

100

Huzzah for both you and your luggage making it! Sounds like you had one hectic morning.

Nothing quite like arm curls for rendering my arms temporarily out of order. XD

000

The real answer is small booba, but I prefer flat over big.

030

I really like how casual these feel. There's also something about the quality of the light that feels nostalgic.

100

That last one gave me a good laugh! 😂 From everything I've seen of her, @beth-mg.bsky.social is a treasure.

130

Ah, of course, those great purveyors of inaccurate medieval information, the Victorians. XD

What do you think caused that change in stress response? (This is genuine curiosity—the lack of tone in text makes me want to be clear on that.)

000

Dang, that flaming sword picture is epic. 😮

Was "Zweihander" popular before Dark Souls, or did the weapon of that name in that game popularize the term?

101

There's something about tiles and mosaics that really appeals to my sense of aesthetics.

Oh, hey, DQ11! I played that game at the start of the year and quite enjoyed it. :D I'm honestly surprised I don't see more fanart of it.
