IMO once you start drawing lines about good/bad fiction some level of cognitive dissonance is needed to make that internally coherent for sure. It's easy to snipe at kink works because it's blatantly out there and sex stuff you don't like can trigger feelings of disgust, which makes people reactive.

Very well put, you're a keen analyst. I think that's a core kernel of truth, you are stupid if you are a romantic, as in literally following your heart over your brain. And often good fiction reminds us that sometimes that's okay or even needed at times.

I think you actually get the horseshoe nega-theory version of Don Quixote if your platform is "fiction isn't real enough, we need censorship" though I appreciate the context here is DQ having his head perpetually in the clouds.

In honor of the new patch's expanded character dialogue, a new slob audio! I wonder if Mina knows fat bodies have more blood in them, and I wonder if Celeste knows what a lifetime of eating carnie food has done to her weight...

When I was very young I saw Sailor Moon air on TV and was intensely fascinated with it. The femininity, the transformations and secret lives...once I heard my father approaching and slammed the door to the tv room closed out of terror I'd be seen watching it. I need to give it a proper watch now.

Just watched V/H/S Mixtape. It had some high points but some of the other recent V/H/S films were a bit better. The first short film was the winner for me for sure.

Raised in a strict and abusive upbringing and being needled to conform and excel with several mental health issues and repressed gender trauma has made me so numb to a lot of aspirations. I don't want to be rich or famous or impactful, I just want to create things as a woman in less pain.
