Chris Grier set to pull the trigger on some hellaciously overpaid and oft-injured free agent in 3-2-1

Rich Bisaccia has to see what the Lions are doing on those punts: both times they’ve not had anyone guarding for a fake. They’re either running with the gunners or coming after Whelan. There’s a great opportunity for a big play.

Dolphins are running stunts and games to the free side, but Chop Robinson is still getting sacks against double teams to the strong. Dominant first half from the Penn State rookie

The blocking in front of Achane on that touchdown catch was probably even better than you could draw it up. A wall.

Dolphins run defense got whipped for much of that drive. They got away with one with all the penalties and the FG miss. Time to wake up.

Loved Industry. Great story, great plot, and an outstanding cast, where much like Mad Men, almost every character is a truly terrible person. It’s plot-twists, and back-stabbing and high stakes. Truly gripping TV.

Trying to translate a silent Swedish TV show with Norwegian subtitles by reading the words on the screen into a translation app to get the English is going about as well as you’d expect.

The Bills are the first team to beat the Chiefs by more than 1 score since the Titans in October 2021. Crazy.

Unsung hero of this Dolphins performance? RT Kendall Lamm. He’s been excellent.

That 3rd down throw by Tua to Tyreek. Wow. Talk about threading a needle.

Jordan Poyer hasn’t been very good for 18 months but he’s been dreadful for Miami this season.

Jordan Poyer and Jordan Brooks getting completely erased on that Mattinson screen wasn’t great defense for the Dolphins.

14 plays, 97 yard drive for Miami. This isn’t your 2023 Dolphins offense. But it’s (sort of) working. The 49ers run game co-ordinator in Mike McDaniel will be loving it. The Ray Ban wearing Yeezy loving, Louis Vuitton version? Not so much.

Aaron Brewer again killing people 15 yards down the field on that long Achane run. Chapeau to @ckparrot.bsky.social because he called Brewer as the answer weeks before FA started.

I was worried about his lack of bulk against bigger DT’s, but Aaron Brewer has been outstanding all season long for Miami. His ability to get out to the second level and to the perimeter and make key blocks is so important to the new iteration of this scheme.

Mike McDaniel sort of out-thinking himself again at the end of the half, albeit in a totally harmless way……except that Tyreek Hill is limping to the locker room.

Brock Bowers is just better than anyone else. If Kendall Fuller was playing I’d be inclined to have Jalen Ramsey travel with him on every single snap. Miami need to find an answer for the rookie.

And that’s why. Because then the middle of the field is wide open to your stud tight end because you’re now concerned about the perimeter

Dolphins defense falling for the banana in the tailpipe early from Scott Turner. Have to curb those pop passes to receivers and the tight end screens off heavy play action. Raiders have targeted the Miami perimeter as a way to make hay.

Perfect retrace from Zach Sieler who’s only being outplayed on the Dolphins by Jalen Ramsey.

Almost a ten minute opening drive for the Dolphins with a little dose of serendipity. But just the start you need at home with Tua looking good save for the one play where he held the ball too long. 7-0 Miami

Went to see Gladiator II last night. Would have been fine as a standalone without the first one. But as a sequel you’re left wondering ‘why’. Lacked the soul & emotion of the original, the gravity of the big moments. I love Paul Mescal but you never quite feel the gravitas of Russell Crowe.
