Odd. I just sent you a DM. But if you're comfortable posting your PayPal here, that obviously works for me too.

Your niece: HOW DID SHE DO THAT!?

Are those tiny crabs in the upper left? Not that I'm interested in them. Not at all.

So I have some sour grapes sessions ahead of me then? I look forward to having a neck.

I am telling myself that there will be NOTHING on those packages that I would want for myself.

Woot! Elder Daughter is crochet only and I love being able to get her some cool ones.

ShysterB @shysterb.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Also -- Hillary's aquatic stitch markers can open, so usable for both crochet and knit. Bought a set for Elder Daughter because gifts are not subject to jewelry jail restrictions.

ShysterB @shysterb.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Crochet stitch markers need to have an open loop or otherwise be able to open. Knit stitch markers CAN have open loops, but many of them don't. If you use closed-loop markers for crochet, the marker becomes a permanent part of your work.

STITCH MARKERS? both crochet and knit? (They are not the same.)

Also ... Buy yourself something pretty.

ShysterB @shysterb.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

I did, yesterday, and now I'm in jewelry jail for the foreseeable future. Except gifts for others. Those are an exception.

Give me a heated trailer with running water and that's my type of camping.

ShysterB @shysterb.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

No, thank YOU. This is something I will wear forever and ever and my kids will have to decide what to do with after I die. Seriously, I have been waiting for you to post this since the first preview on a mail call thread.

Between this and the purchase I just made from @wingsndnsilver.bsky.social I am now in jewelry jail until night unto death.

Lovely! I love the similar ones Hillary found for me. These will make their new owner very happy.

No lie, I'm probably going to feel faint when I open the box.

I, uh, already dropped a bunch today on that necklace and ... the feather cuff.

And for Elder Daughter, any pendants with labradorite, especially ones in the blue range. (Trying to get started on holiday shopping here...)

020

ShysterB @shysterb.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Any pendants akin to this in theme/appearance/materials? Younger Daughter saw this, loved it, but I missed the bidding window.

A square pendant with a smaller center square of marcasite with "rays" of marcasite, mother of pearl and onyx radiating from it.

I really wanted to wind some yarn, but Smol Bean tends to treat that as an opportunity for Mad Chaos, so until she finishes her nap and jumps down from the loveseat, I will have to find something else occupy my time.

Photo of a black cat snoozing in the center of a loveseat. A yarn swift is on one arm of the loveseat and a ball winder is on the other. The yarn would pass directly over the cat while being wound, and that is an invitation to mayhem.

I'm so beyond stressed & the pile on is at the impossible to get thru state. But will keep trying to keep my kid in school. I have 3wks to come up with $2k just for rent/living expenses. I haven't even started on the dbl root canal she needs. If you could share, it would be appreciated.

I gusped a gasp. Showed to my kids. Younger Daughter: "Are you getting another bracelet?" I wept.
