Thank you, Logan. In the last couple of months, she was spending more time beside me than usual. I think she knew her time was coming and that was her way of saying her goodbyes to me, with lots of cuddles and love.

WIP update for Forest's gator gal, Calypso Cole/Caley! Working on the texturing right now. Still have a lot of texture refinement to do- She's missing her stripes and scars still, but I think she's in a good enough spot to share for now 🐊🕶️

Rest in Peace Lydia, I already miss you so, so much... She was always such a gentle and loving cat. Every night she'd lay beside my pillow and cuddle with me. Even though I knew she was well into her senior years, it still feels too soon to say goodbye.

I think it would be best for me to refocus on my larger projects. Until they are finished I will always feel a bit of hesitation when starting something new. First up is the Caley model- I finally got her ready for texturing in substance! All the collab work from Wyrm is done at this point.

I did these goofy hurt/throw sprites. Since I'm not into hurt/pain stuff, I tried to keep them comical. The top slipping down was on the suggestion of a friend. Originally I wasn't going to go that far with them, but since I'm working off of a sfw base I figure I can be silly with the nsfw version.

-- PYREXIA STANDEE FORM -- 🐲 forms.gle/rdh9zjiBs9F1... 🐲 Okay! I've set up a google form for people to fill out. This will help me figure out how many standees I need to order, and to determine shipping costs. Once I have them in stock, I'll open a page on my Ko-Fi for orders. Thank you!

My first small test batch of Pyrexia standees came in!! 🐲✨ My lighting set up is pretty awful, but overall the print looks good. She came out a bit more tinted towards magenta than intended, and the scale highlight and shadow detail got a bit lost as well. What do you think? Would you get one?

It's a "Dragon of the Deep" plush by Creep Cat Toy Co.! It's probably based on a Seawing, but I'm not too familiar with the WoF series to really know. Here's a better shot of it. I've been using them to prop up a little tent for my cat, they are her cuddle guardians.

It's my 35th birthday today! I celebrated by having my eyes checked and getting a blood test. Everything is okay though, and I got to have a nice lunch with my dad. I don't really have any photos of the occasion, so here's my lil 19 year old cat, Lydia. :)

Finally wrapped up all of the retopology yesterday. She's got a basic working rig and the uvs are all done, too. I made some reshaping adjustments to the mesh though, so the textures are a mess now and need to be rebaked. I'll have some better looking shots, soon!

I've never done an artfight before, but I really like the wormy critter... I've always been pretty anxious about getting anything done for it. I've always struggled with turnaround time.

Question for the VRChat/3D artists out there! I'm having trouble figuring out how to handle the eyes of the Caley model. A standard eyeball is too big and visibly clips into her mouth cavity, while a stylized 2D socket with floating pupil doesn't work due to how wide-set her eyes are. What can I do?

A friend asked for some reference to sculpt off of, so I made this Talessa ortho turnaround for him. Front facing snout is always so awkward... But I hope I did a good enough job with it

Finished the tail retopo and tested the bakes! Gosh this took longer than I thought it would. Ended up being 5.6k polys for the tail alone- But she's still under 30K in total so there's plenty of polybudget left to work with.

I've been working with Wyrmworks on making a 3D model of ForestTheRotten's gatorgal, Caley Calypso! There's still a long way to go before she's ready, but I wanted to share what I've been doing lately. Wyrmworks has been doing all the sculpting, I'm handling all the retopo and unity stuff.

WIP of an updated Pyrexia. I ended up just fully redrawing this piece instead of sticking to my original plan of updating the older drawing. At any rate, it'll be a good way to compare how much I've hopefully improved. Still feel pretty lost with backgrounds, though...

I'll be releasing the big 2.0 update for PajamaMcHam's Kloey for VRChat this coming Friday (10/24)! It will both be uploaded to Gumroad as a free update for existing users, and as a new listing on Jinxxy! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed working on her! c:

I apologize for the lack of communication regarding the Kloey model; I was visiting a friend last week, so I was away from my workstation. However, I'm finishing up the store page assets for PajamaMcHam's Kloey model today. It's the only step left for the project so she should be ready to go soon!

Made a bet with a friend; said I'd draw a sexy anthro-Magus if he pulled her without spending any real money on the banner. He only had enough for 3 pulls from the event and he got her on the 3rd pull So.... robot dragon gun wife time??

I decided to retopo Kloey's arm. I'm not sure where I picked up the habit of twisting the edgeloops from, but it was causing issues, and I have yet to see another model twist the forearm geometry like that. The end result is a much smoother silhouette, so I think it was worth it!

ShyCryptid 🐲 @shycryptid.bsky.social · 26/07/2025

I ended up merging the nipple and body geometry together for the Kloey model. It might not be too noticeable, but it looks much better and should help with blender renders down the line. I've also fixed a number of weighting issues that were apparent in the photoshoot.

The best cure for anxiety is to spend time with a cat. (Old pic, I am sadly absolutely catless and stuck at work right now).
