Machine strike in Forbidden West was pretty good

Like Rich Evans of RedLetterMedia once said: It's simultaneously the biggest and smallest franchise in film history. Multiple films and cartoons, they got a whole galaxy to explore but stick to the same couple of planets, and everybody's related.

My fiancée is about to play it for the first time in a couple of days (never played it myself either). We'll see if your assessment holds true. Less combat seems like a definite win. Both TM and ROTM had way too much

Thank you. Glad I'm not the only disappointed by it

I got the hottest of takes: I'm not excited about the Zelda remake everyone seems to be raving about. It seems to be literally the same exact game just prettier. Gameplay seems the same, camera seems the same. What is the point? Happy for those who are excited though, I personally just don't get it

I'll never get over the anecdote of the film crew going to Eastern Europe because it was a cheaper, and Mark Addy having to start yelling to rowdy up the extras' crowd as they didn't understand what they were meant to do in one of the scenes

Whenever a game breaks into the normies, you get this type of clickbait behavior... Where were these comments with Cyberpunk 2077 and BG3? Maybe they were there aswell tbh

Playing some Quest Hunter with my fiancee. Simple little Action-adventure game with a bit of RPG dashed in. Nothing revolutionary, but it's cozy and relaxing

Never. Not quite my scene, though I do appreciate a well made cosplay. The time invested into it and the artistry is truly something to behold.

If it's your first time playing through it, you're in for a real treat.

Oooh so that's why I never get any interaction in my posts. I'm just too neutral and don't take sides. Either that or I'm truly and utterly a bland, uninteresting person.

Currently reading Würtz's Batman Through the Years... From its inception, what might have influenced it, Bob Kane and Bill Finger's backgrounds, etc... In short, extremely detailed, precise and suprisingly not boring. A must if you're a fan of Batman!

Happy #caturday to all who celebrate. Not very ladylike there Suki. Oh but who cares she's funny and she's cute

Took me a while, thought I got it, didn't get it.. read it again and got it but I still think my first thought was worthwhile: Fuc P Trump... P as in president. I didn't realise Potassium's symbol was K 😅

Gaming is already an extremely expensive hobby for even the most basic stuff and lots of people follow along. This doesn't surprise me one bit. But yeah, 100$ for an advanced access to a game (just a day earlier) is insane

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

I loved it. Some moments really reminded me of the Raimi's Spiderman 2. The scene in the elevator for one, completely ridiculous, and his powers fluctuating. Also really like that he's not perfect and can't do everything.

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

I don't use cloud gaming but (and pardon my swearing) Jesus fucking Christ! Having an alloted time, and having to pay to refill those hours. Now that's some dystopian shit. So much has changed in the gaming world, as a consumer though, I have no idea how it is behind the curtain.

Currently on Episode 3 and so far, so good. It does dread extremely well, more so than horror, which to be honest I prefer.

I get it. Worked as a mailman for a a few years on a fixed term contract. Loved the job and the work-life balance. The pay was decent, but I would've rather been paid to not work

Rats are amazing, cute and intelligent! Had one a few years ago, she has since passed away. We desperately want to get another, but our newest feline family member would just play around with it and eat it. So, sadly not right now.

As September begins and the days get slightly cooler, with nighttime coming faster and faster, I thought it a good time to start playing one of the goats

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I may still get a PS5 for a number of games I still do want (Yotei, Astro Bot, R&C, Spider-man 2, Intergalagtic, God of War Ragnarok... etc) but after that I'm done, I'll eventually get a Switch 2 or even invest into PC gaming. Sony has really shot themselves in the foot

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Forbidden West Platinum done! This was a long one. While enjoyable overall, some side quests suffer from very poor game design (looking at you Gauntlet Runs). Love the new tribes though. I slightly prefer Zero Dawn, with its shorter, more direct quests and overall approach

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I found Bloodstarved Beast to be the easiest boss of all of Bloodborne. It's hungry for blood so throw a vial of blood against the wall, it'll run into it, then go ham with fire paper

She did mention she sold hardcore drugs to pay for Joel's watch.. Being a selling drugs must take a toll on a 12 year old

Watched F4 First Steps the other day. Was surprised at how good, straight and to the point it was. It surely helps that it stands outside the mainline MCU and isn't hampered by having to do homework on other movies/shows. Real refreshing stuff!

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Is it your first time playing it? What are your thoughts on it?

000

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I mean, same as GTA V on base PS3, shit was insane for the time.. just now much bigger and better looking scale. Rockstars are definitely wizards and masters of the craft

010

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

How it feels to follow me, probably (I'm "you" in the sentence)

020

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Oh that makes sense then. I didn't mean anything by it, just surprised by the price is all. If it helps, that's all that matters

000

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Most of the time for me: "oh this looks great... I don't have the required gaming platform"

000

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Anyone here remembers Firefall? I played it for like 2 weeks back, after trying out Warframe in 2014, when I wanted to try gaming on my laptop (despite it not being anywhere near good enough to run anything).

120

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I only played Bloodborne and the first hour of Sekiro. Those games aren't for me. Massive open worlds with main quests side quests and exploration... Now that's my jam

110

Shush Talk | Return to Arkham 🎮 @shushtalk.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Played it as I don't have a Switch and this was the closest thing to BOTW I could get my hands on. Love it to bits ! The colour, the world, the puzzles, the humour. Everything is perfect.

Continuing Forbidden West. To my very welcome surprise, it runs like a charm on PS4. Though it'd be full of framedrops and crashes like Jedi Survivor pulled. But no!
