Death Note gives you power to kill anyone you wish by writing their name in the Death Note. Your wish sounds like that, except carried out by lightning .

Only 1% actually makes the minimum wage. Yes, increasing it would help those on the lower end, but it is possible for the economy to improve enough (not under Trump, obviously) such that companies have to pay way above minimum wage to get someone competent.

Because there's no simple way to determine "what is ads and what is not." And trying to cat-and-mouse it is where you get side channel security breaches on obscure interactions.

Train them, the compute power available, real time constraints, input quality, etc. Clean audio and 1 minute response requirement? I can cobble up a decent system on a gaming machine. Shit mic on real-time? Good luck.

Also likely using underpowered models for both the language and speech recognition to justify saving. It's likely one of the use cases where it's cheaper to just keep human.

Glad you are consistent. Many are not. I've seen artists justify AI code (and vice versa). And that's not getting into music, voice, concept art, and on and on and on.

It's why we managed to restrict vibe code to purely business side and that worked out pretty well. They get to refine what they want themselves, and then come to us with a very fleshed out internal sample site that we can implement our way with better security and everything.

And the key to resist is to just try it and offer proof on where it's bad and where it's good. You won't stop all adoption, because there are genuine useful use cases for it. Your best bet is be knowledgeable enough to answer the question "Is it good for this?" and "Why?"

FOMO on productivity gain. Most companies, including mine, are backing away from major AI corp but leans towards smaller self-hosted models. We essentially treat it as just an extension to machine learning that we already used, but with so many offering very cheap plans to experiment, why not

just prompt) is expensive. But a simple "in-paint" style model where you can prompt for a single characters/object at a marked spot is way simpler. Voice models are almost computationally negligible that can run with decent performance even on integrated graphics cards.

Not "in general" though. Language models (for writing and coding) and video generators are horribly computationally expensive to be financially viable. Image generation is more mixed and strongly depends on "for what"? Compositional aware ones (being able to place stuffs in the right place with

BLIK also has separate free P2P vs paid (by the merchants) structure. And if you use P2P for commercial, I suspect getting perma-banned would be the more lenient outcome.
000
shuberfuber.bsky.social @shuberfuber.bsky.social · 17h
If you use P2P instead of the commercial transaction version of BLIK to pay for those, you're getting banned from BLIK too if they find out.

If the argument is that Netanyahu and his circle is committing genocide, fine. But yes, claiming that Gaza is worse, or that Israel as a whole is genocide, is absolutely bonkers of a claim.
110
shuberfuber.bsky.social @shuberfuber.bsky.social · 17h
And part of the reason is that many countries have tax (and locally sales taxes) for commercial transactions. Do they charge a fee for that? Sure. But if you use family and friends, you're doing tax evasion. And no company wants to deal with the IRS, Custom, or whatever foreign version of them.

Bullets. That's the minimum requirement. As Ukraine showed, nothing else mattered. If you want to be leader of the free world, being able to bring lots of bullets (or help others bring lots of bullets) is the minimum requirement. Everything else are just nice to haves.

Now, I don't know much about Canadian economy, but I imagine Alberta benefited a lot from having unlimited access to the eastern seaports for European import/export market over infrastructure paid for by those net payment to Eastern provinces.

Nevada is a net beneficiary, but their forestry management that prevents California, a net payer, from having massive flood or even worst drought doesn't show up in the balance of payment.

shuberfuber.bsky.social @shuberfuber.bsky.social · 18h
Perhaps there should be an PR campaign on what benefit Alberta get due to payment to other provinces? To use US as an example (also because I made similar arguments before). Alaska is a net beneficiary, but the strategic value of having a early warning radar doesn't show up on balance sheet.
100
shuberfuber.bsky.social @shuberfuber.bsky.social · 18h
I'm aware they make more hence they pay more. I'm saying that seeing the balance sheet would naturally make people feel "short changed". The fact that they likely benefited as a whole as being part of a union (or whatever term Canadian used) is much harder to show on statistics.

I can see the merit behind the grievance (but not the separatist part) due to them being way negative in the balance of payment regarding taxation (per capita roughly on par with the most negative in the US, Massachusetts, and you don't see Mass asking to leave).

shuberfuber.bsky.social @shuberfuber.bsky.social · 18h
Wonder if some of them are using it as a sort of "threat" to get more benefits for the province and it just got way out of hand.

I do find it interesting to look into the "Western grievance" thing. So it's not a recent thing, just escalated to separatism calls?
