A few key revelations related to Gaza coverage in last few days:
- Almost all of the media in Gaza were in a Hamas-run WhatsApp group that dictated and coordinated coverage. Including contributors to major western news organizations.
- Al Jazeera fired 24 of their media members from Gaza for direct ties to terror groups
- Admission that anyone in Gaza who reported anything contrary to Hamas claims was likely to be killed by Hamas.
Almost all of the information that came out of Gaza was part of a coordinated disinformation campaign by the very people who started the war.

So it turns out that Hamas runs a WhatsApp group with all of Gaza's journalists, where Hamas "managed the discourse and the narrative."

Reminder to anyone who says Israel's actions are comparable to the Holocaust. By Palestinian government's own data, 140k died due to Israel, or about 3% of Palestinians, over 50+ years. Holocaust killed 6 million Jews, or about 34% of ALL Jews, in 4 years. They're not remotely comparable.

He had, however, close ties with the government of Russia. Savvy people have already made the connection between Russian bot farms and the disinformation spreading because it closely mirrors how they constructed pizzagate out of Wikileaks. In great American tradition, don’t be a sucker.

I cribbed all these from Tumblr BUT I needed everyone to stop being so credulous. it is true that Epstein had a relationship with at least one Israeli politician but he had an adversarial relationship with the state of Israel.

Today saw an interesting "rant" against WEBP format about how it's not supported and can be used everywhere. Interesting in that I saw the exact same complaint decades ago about SVG, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, and even BMP. The more things change, the more they stay the same. And now I feel old.
