Just as he suppressed the summoning of Holy, Sephiroth is exerting some degree of control over the Weapons, ensuring they don’t attack him. (UO, 2005) #FF7 #FFVII

I really adore the gaming community we’ve made here. This just further proves we never needed twitter to bring people together. The people are what matters not the social media platform.

Hamaguchi notes that the dream date scene can be interpreted in various ways by players. But Aerith has always been this sort of sisterly character pulling Cloud along and encouraging him. Kitase adds, “Cloud’s thought of deeply by two different women. What a lucky guy” (Inverse, 12/18) #FF7 #Aerith

“There can be many different interpretations of what this scene truly means for each player. But Aerith has always been this sort of sisterly character pulling Cloud along and encouraging him,” Hamaguchi says, “She is feeling what is to come, and understanding her fate. She’s still pushing Cloud along and leading him in this way, and it shows her pure heartedness and inner strength.”

(I feel it deserves to be noted that directly after that answer, Kitase followed up with a simple “Cloud’s thought of deeply by two different women. What a lucky guy.” Hamaguchi and Kitase have as good of a dynamic as anyone you’d find in the game itself.)

We are so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to speak with Naoki Hamaguchi, Director of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. We talked about the scenario writing process, leadership and what the team are most proud of. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NYM... RTs (RPs?) would be very much appreciated!

Asked about the kiss between Cloud and Tifa in FFVII Rebirth's gondola event, Director Hamaguchi says the team had a clear intention. Because Cloud can hug Tifa in FFVII Remake, they felt he should do more in the second game to reflect his growth. (GameWatch, 12/3/24)

While we anxiously await the arrival of FFVIIR Part 3, I'm left wondering just how massive this game will be given the remaining story bits and locations.
