a covenant sealed with blood
[and is that why?]
because blood is precious
[or is it the loss that matters]
belief

the blood redeems

not for me

does the cleansing light
change my character
or must I break my own fingers
and set my own bones
my own blood spilled
[a taste]
the blood a promise
