We got a little nostalgic once we realized ((nocturne)) is a 90’s cartoon theme song 📺 (((trust us, stay for the whole video))) We just wrapped up recording our first impressions of Big Modern! Keep an eye out for our new episode dropping on all podcast platforms and YouTube tomorrow morning!

Grabbed decent uppers for Mohegan and pits for the Milwaukee shows today. Excited for the fall tour!

I couldn’t believe my eyes when trying to find the cheapest room. Booked something a few miles away for 1/4 of the price.

Gonna need this Amsterdam energy to make its way stateside this summer. Good lord what a start.

Nice to hear Torero get a little more runway than the Gonzo version! Still think the new version sounds great live.

Totally. I’m okay with a turn my brain off movie as long as it’s entertaining and has some cheeky Easter eggs for nerds like me. I was a sucker for the new Super Mario movie everyone hated for instance.

Alex Sohani 🪿 @showhani.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

These rankings are literally perfect. Haven’t seen the new movie yet but gonna check it out soon. Gets me a little more excited though expectations are still low.

Duel of the Fates 🤝 Goontz. The band must be really excited about the new Star Wars movie.

DONALD TRUMP: "I'm suing myself for $10 billion in taxpayers' money!" ALSO TRUMP: "I'll settle for $1.7 billion." STILL TRUMP: "I accept... I just saved America's taxpayers $8.3 billion!" MAGA: "Four more years! Four more years!" ... We truly are living in the stupidest timeline. #uspoli #irs

I rarely say “major breaking” and rarely put out these video hits, but this is pretty major.

I was listening to Southern Man recently and thought that would be a pretty good fit too. Here for more Neil covers

Wasn’t it dropped during the fall tour or something? Felt like a really long wait.

Gonzo was awesome but I can’t wait to pick these two up tomorrow

I think we all know the obvious answer here

Alex Sohani 🪿 @showhani.bsky.social · 11/05/2026

Yeah man. Had no idea y’all were there too!

Alex Sohani 🪿 @showhani.bsky.social · 11/05/2026

There was one section where I felt like I was being thrown back to Milwaukee for a second. Great Madh

It was hard to leave without adopting one of the puppies they had there

JRAD. Honeybee feels too easy to make a hot take around, and I’m way more intrigued by the JRAD take.

The plan is to not move from this spot all day. So far so good. My swollen feet need a break after an incredible week here 🤘

Going to do more of a deep dive on this, but just going beat-by-beat I find the sets/improv from Gonzo 2026 to be more interesting than Gonzo 2025. Seems like there’s more jams I’ll revisit this year. Also will fully acknowledge the attendance bias factor here since I wasn’t in Cabo last year.

I came from DMB land and the amount of people in that fanbase that don’t realize that covers are covers blows my mind. A lot of folks who have only listened to Dave shows for decades. Definitely have always associated Cortez with Neil first, even if DMB does a well known cover of it.

New arrangement of Torero hits way more in person than studio. Still prefer the original arrangement but that was a lot of fun.

Shit dude you were right in front of us. Gotta try to meet you this weekend!

Alex Sohani 🪿 @showhani.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

Really fun N1. We are still on east coast time, so absolutely wiped out. Once they switched the Tractorbeam and Disco Biscuits sets we decided to head out early. So nice to see some of you, but need to make more time to say hi the rest of the weekend!
