Context: at my job I have to reject people if their ID does not precisely match their residential address. I can accept a typoed ID if they provide an additional state/gov issued supplemental document with proof of address, but often people haven't noticed there is an error until they get to me.

I have a different perspective; I run background checks and the number of drivers licenses/IDs out there with horrible typoes is worryingly high. Personal information (name, address) seems to be routinely butchered by DMVs + fixing the damage can often take months for affected people.

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.
