i just came off a three-week trial and we got a verdict for my client and it's maybe the most meaningful experience of my life. i don't typically get to represent human beings or small businesses—i mostly handle cases for big corporations and there are rarely human stakes.

i tried to cancel this settlement conference i have tomorrow because we have MSJs pending but the other side's lawyer wants to have the conference so he can tell the mediator to tell the judge to decide the motions. just call the mediator and ask him to do that!! let me stay on my couch in sweats.
