That said, I'm considering writing down and collecting a vast array of information about chain mail (the armor) and chain weaving. Is anyone around here interested in the minutia of said endeavors?

I took a big break from social media because I was finding existential dread too crippling.

I'm annoyed that work is making me learn an "AI tool". I know what I need to know about it, which is that there's so much wrong with how it was created, how it's used and what it's doing to the planet that I want no part of it. But I also need to eat...

Now that I have a really cool book about building the underpinnings of a game universe, I'd love tips on mapmaking, NPC creation, and building dungeons.

Defending your Thanksgiving with “We don’t use it to celebrate genocide!” isn’t the issue. It’s still poison without a pilgrim hat. It’s the mindlessness. It’s the fact you eat a gluttonous meal on our stolen land while our access to food — our salmon, buffalo, corn — remains decimated. (1/3)

If you're uncomfortable with mutual aid requests, but want to help locally with bridging the SNAP garbage so people can eat, donate $$ to a food shelf. Food shelves can do things with cash like get food for less than retail prices, and get perishables, that they can't rely on donations for.

If you have food insecurity, this is something worth looking into. A feast for 10 could be 2 weeks of food for 1-2 people.

Look, horror is not my jam, but it doesn't mean the people for whom it is shouldn't have nice things. This looks like a nice thing for horror fans.

The very first things I actually learned about every non -Christian faith I have encountered is that what I thought I knew was largely wrong, or misinterpreted through the Christian lens of my upbringing.

listen i get that a lot of y'all white/non-black game designers think "Hoodoo/Voodoo Daddy" is a scary fun concept that can be throw into your games but that is a very real religion people practice to this day, it's not just some fantasy concept you can slap on top of some offensive artwork

After 5 years and a handful of weeks, my very first long form D&D campaign as GM is coming to a close. One more session, and then we'll take a month or so off before diving into a FATE game.

The thing I'm learning about illumination is that I have the understanding of color theory down, but the writing and drawing skills are where I struggle. I just spent 15 minutes drawing red and black lines very close together. And my hand is sore but I think I see progress
