iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I definitely recommend it I think it's really solid, lots of fun fate fanservice but also has a very good story that it tells on its own, and the gameplay is very good. You do have to do NG+ to see all of the story content though, but it tells you when new scenes appear and you can skip the rest.

The law of balance is such a fascinating concept to make very literal the weight of life and murder and the price that killing someone, even one you deem evil, has. So so good man I'm excited to see where the Kanae route goes next.

Final fight is such a good clash of ideals between these two. Ichijo and Kageaki are just two people who know neither one is right or wrong but have no choice but to fight for their own beliefs. Not to mention Ginseigo v Muramasa just before. And then that epilogue man... Tears were falling.

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 27/12/2024

Been seeing Trails game rankings around so I'm throwing my hat into the ring. Hearing good things about Kai so it could shift things around when I finally get to play it.

Twist at the end of chapter 1 had me going insane I thought something was up but I did not expect what was going to happen.

Oh I'm also reading Full Metal Daemon Muramasa rn, just finished Chapter 5 of the Ichijo route. Realizing that if it keeps up the quality it's going to be an easy top 5 vns for me. Shit has me next level locked in Kageaki is such a stellar character and I love his voice...

Sorry to the guy that posted it but that one "future fictions that will enter my top 10" tweet has irreparably changed my vocabulary it's so funny to me I always refer to my backlog as future fictions to my friends now

It's definitely a movie for kids but as far as kids movies go I think it's pretty good. As a huge SA2 fan I had a ton of fun with it.

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

Jokes aside this is definitely the best one I had a lot of fun returning to some of SA2's ideas, and it cut down on the boring ass human sections very heavily. Solid movie.

We just keep winning with Falcom games dude. I played a bit of the geofront translation of this game and it was pretty fun, excited to drag my friends into it lol

I'm like the opposite lmao, when the protags are actually characters and not silent or self inserts I usually gravitate towards them. I get liking the secondary characters though.

I included vns as video games to get Battler, Okabe, and Takuru in there lol. Schrodinger’s Video game if you will, a video game when convenient, and not one when it isn’t. Also Fei is so goated but it is really hard to pick 10… Clive is also really high up for me lmao

Not sure if I totally stand by this list, it's just off the top of my head. Top 5 are pretty solid though.

Who are your top 10 main characters of all time? harder than I thought... 1) Ushiromiya Battler(Umineko) 2) Noah(XC3) 3) Estelle Bright(TiTS) 4) Okabe Rintaro(Steins;Gate) 5) Van Arkride(Daybreak) 6) Shulk(XC) 7) Raiden(MGS2) 8) Miyashiro Takuru(Chaos;Child) 9) Fei Fong Wong(Xenogears) 10) Nier

Absolutely be recommending these films to people. Also that music dude, Yuki Kajiura hit it out of the park like always. Stellar the whole way through and every single credits theme was notably incredible. If you like music from these films(or fate and madoka), you should play Xenosaga.

For my overall thoughts, I really liked Kara No Kyoukai. It's weird, sometimes confusing, and sometimes kind of clunky in its storytelling, but it had some stellar moments, and Shiki and Kokutou are both really amazing characters. It definitely isn't my favorite nasuverse work, but I will -

Kara No Kyoukai 8 - Epilogue. Thus, I reach the end(except for movie 9, which I think is a bonus extra arc rather than a finale, which I will watch tomorrow). For what was essentially a 30 minute long conversation with very little going on, this final film was so pretty and enjoyable to watch.
