Anyways, welcome back Roger from the Persona 3 trailers

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

Xenoblade X DE looks so good bro... Making the UI actually readable and having an overdrive guide is going to do so much for that game

Been seeing Trails game rankings around so I'm throwing my hat into the ring. Hearing good things about Kai so it could shift things around when I finally get to play it.

Oh I'm also reading Full Metal Daemon Muramasa rn, just finished Chapter 5 of the Ichijo route. Realizing that if it keeps up the quality it's going to be an easy top 5 vns for me. Shit has me next level locked in Kageaki is such a stellar character and I love his voice...

Sorry to the guy that posted it but that one "future fictions that will enter my top 10" tweet has irreparably changed my vocabulary it's so funny to me I always refer to my backlog as future fictions to my friends now

Kara No Kyoukai 8 - Epilogue. Thus, I reach the end(except for movie 9, which I think is a bonus extra arc rather than a finale, which I will watch tomorrow). For what was essentially a 30 minute long conversation with very little going on, this final film was so pretty and enjoyable to watch.

Kara No Kyoukai 7 - Murder Speculation part B Kokutou does untested street LSD for no reason and gets high af, then gets drugged again and a dude forcibly makes out with him. Then I cried a lot. God damn Nasu, I see the vision. Good shit. Kokutou and Shiki are such a good couple... Only one left.

I love the game awards, absolute ass like usual. This time there's two games I'll probably play with Elden Ring and Project Century though so that's actually better than most.

010

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

Project Century looks fire. I know it's a separate deal but I gotta catch up on Yakuza man...

010

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

What the fuck does cooperative survival action mean. What is this video game I legitimately cannot tell, like I'm sure it will be good but what.

010

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

I was joking about this but sure, real. Elden Ring Nightreign. No idea what a co op elden ring game looks like but I'm sure it will be fun.

Give me a single screenshot from a video game that immediately makes you hear the soundtrack in your head. Silver Will dude... This fight took me so long but man did it not matter because of that song. So peak

Word on the street is that fans of Dark Souls 2 will want to have their eyes on the game awards tonight... 👀

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 12/12/2024

Kara No Kyoukai 6 - Oblivion Recording idk what Nasu's thing with incest is but I fear whenever a character has a sibling in these stories. That aside, Azaka was enjoyable enough aside from that and the story here was good. Only 2 or 3? more I'm not really sure what the deal with the 9th movie is.

110

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Kara No Kyoukai 5 - Paradox Paradigm I still don't understand what exactly happened in this one entirely, being told so out of order and so much happening at the same time, but I got the gist. Tomoe and the thing with the apartment building was super cool even though it was so hard to understand

100

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

Kara No Kyoukai 4 - The Hollow Shrine. Nice to see what actually happened to Shiki after the second movie and how she and Kokutou met Touko. I'm curious if there's more to Shiki losing SHIKI. Mystic eyes of death perception are still the coolest thing ever. Post credits has me very interested...

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

Kara No Kyoukai 3 - Remaining Sense of Pain. Another great movie. Probably not as good as the second one but really interesting. Fujino and Shiki's dynamic was super interesting and I'm so invested in Shiki and Kokutou's relationship haha. Fujino is a character I really do feel bad for in the end.

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

Kara no Kyoukai films 1 & 2 done. Loving these, confusing at times with the nonlinear storytelling but have a unique vibe for TM works. Also some of the best Yuki Kajiura music out there. I love her osts for Fate but always felt like they were slightly weaker than her other ones, but this is peak.

Xenogears at #3 is so real. I'm sure this means square enix will do anything with the IP other than release overprices merch(cope)

Shorts Kid @shortskid.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

Need to figure out what TM thing to do next, I hear good things about the Strange Fake light novels and I still haven’t read Hollow Ataraxia but I was kinda planning on waiting for the remaster, same with Extra. Not even god could make me play that gacha game I’m sorry. May be time for a break lol…

Did the Backloggd goty thing. Technically Trails through Daybreak would be GOTY since it's eligible but I didn't play it this year lol, did the fan translation a while ago. Also SOTE was like the only multiplayer game I played this year even though it's not a game, I don't play many...

Samurai Remnant has made me think though, I’m not sure how I feel about the gender bending thing in Fate after fsn and zero. In fsn Artoria being a woman is pretty important to her character, but here it feels like characters like Musashi were gender bent just for the sake of her being a waifu.
