i do kinda feel how it influenced me as a writer, though. i see its style of character drama in my own work a lot. and 11 year old ellis was completely right - leafpool should have been a lesbian

in a difficult time in my life & have been rereading warrior cats arc 2 specifically. the relationship cats have with the warrior code is fascinating - cats are very aware of how harmful its restrictions are, break it constantly in narratively correct ways but refuse to consider changing anything

I made a set of assets for an upcoming zine-kit that includes magazine cut-outs of the entire alphabet. It'll be free in the future but if you want to support this little project + get them earlier you can do so for $3! ✂️ patreon.com/fanfi ✂️💞

MAGAZINE CUT-OUT ALPHABET

The background is made from said cut-outs in many fun colors and different sizes, fonts, etc.

i was very inspired by Karrie's own work, Rebecca Dautremer's book Midi Pile, tunnel books and pop-up books - here's some progress shots! if you found one of these in your bag at the end of con, come say hi :]

reading @decassette.bsky.social 's A Garden of Spheres in the same week as i coincidentally watched Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind was a genuinely perfect accidental two-parter

my feelings was that the hostages were always symbolically the black parade - as in, a suggestion of what could be being done to them & the violence of the dictatorship - but this directness is in response to the rebellion. i think this show is very metaphorical but also the IMPLICATIONS aaaaaauugh

ellis benji 💫 @shootingstarpress.xyz · 15/09/2025

i can't believe it's clones. i so thought it was timeloop but it's clones... the way my jaw DROPPED when i saw the pictures of the 4 hostages

this tour has triggered my MCR phase returning, they may be one of the greatest rock bands rn because who else is doing arthouse stadium shows about being queer under facism that involve hot dogs and parenting ventriloquist dolls and getting stabbed by clowns on stage
