I know it’s hard to watch all these beautiful things be carried away by time and see the wrong things growing in their place. But listen. Listen. We have to be the beautiful things now. It has to be us. It has to be us. Courage.

i will not stand for "larp" becoming the new "poser". there is nothing in this world that requires more genuine unbridled passion in the face of people calling you a total nerd than live-action roleplay

the people who believe the opposite of what i said are either contrarians or braindead. either way theyre a small minority and u dont have to go around stating the obvious to “stick it to them.” if its on the internet, theyre ragebaiting you to try to farm engagement out of you. leave. it. be.

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

we all know bear is the villain despite nikki being the antagonist, we all know clark is a bad guy despite being a protagonist, we fucking GET IT. do we need to state the fucking obvious? did we start watching movies yesterday, people?

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

the unfortunate side effect of two genuinely good films (backrooms and obsesssion) becoming popular and doing well in the box office is the incredibly stupifying, brain numbing discourse surrounding the characters in both movies

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

I bet he’s angry cause they denied him a flashback scene or something where he gets to show his actual face. if so i’m so glad they did. I did NOT want to see his face whatsoever and I thankfully got to imagine that it was someone else playing skeletor when i watched the movie

000

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

rumors spreading that jl doesn’t like the movie to which i say LMAO. I’m inclined to believe them since he’s nowhere in the marketing or promo for the movie

100

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

what i wont accept is people praising j*red l*to for his performance as skeletor when literally ANYONE could’ve have played him like this (and honestly could’ve done it better, too. half the time i had no clue what he was fuckin saying)

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

“hashimoto elder” *looks inside* thats a 30 year old cyborg woman.

110

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

what im trying to say is that motu was kinda shlock but my kind of schlock

000

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

at the very least, MOTU didn’t (for the most part) do the dumb thing that family movies do nowadays where the characters seem to have no agency and just go places or do things because the plot requires them to. in the age of streaming and people losing their attention spans, thats all i ask for tbh

100

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

granted still had a LOT of issues with motu. its not a perfect movie AT ALL but it has good things in it as well as some pretty bad things cough cough J*red L*to

100

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

and the reboot netflix she-ra show if that counts lmao

100

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

kinda sad that i had more fun with a fucking he-man movie than with the super mario galaxy movie, and i have more fond childhood memories of the mario franchise. my only fond memory of the motu franchise from when i was a kid is HEYAYYYYAYYAYAY

Vee @shmonguss.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

the best parts of masters of the universe 2026 were when skeletor was on screen, unfortunately

People have been asking me if I know of a resource like StandWithMinnesota for New Jersey, and I haven't found something comprehensive. So, for the moment, I have put together all the links to NJ orgs, crowdfunding links, events, and stuck them on a page of SWM. standwithminnesota.org/jersey
