I’m sure I’ve been guilty of this in the past & I know I meant well but whether it’s the loss of a loved one or a horrible diagnosis - words really do count. Starting a consoling sentence with ‘Well at least…’ is never a good idea & if you don’t know what to say - just say that ❤️ #grief #childloss

As of today, I can no longer say ‘I lost my daughter last year’ & if it’s not last year, it must seem like ages ago to other people who probably wonder why I'm still so bloody sad? 2025 is another year Laura doesn’t get to see & a step further away from her. Grief is completely relentless isn’t it 💔

I'm on 43 now Ben - all our family donate regularly, it's the least we can do. I was so grateful for the blood Laura received, it made an instant difference when she was v unwell. If we expect it to be available for the people we love, we need to support the NHS blood banks Thanks for all you do xx

What started as a mad idea back in Jan ended yesterday as - with the help of friends & family - Gracie & I completed our 100th climb of #PendleHill on Laura’s 25th birthday If you’re up early tomorrow you can watch us finish on BBC Breakfast. Happy Christmas & thank you for the love & support 🎄
