If you have some financial means, buy up a lot of diapers wholesale at like Costco or wherever. Then take them to your local domestic violence shelter, and donate them. Lie & say,

I like this a lot. This is something I want to keep saying. I know just as well as all of you that there's some awful shit happening. It can be very discouraging, enough so that we miss the fact that we are still humans. Still parents. Neighbors. We are still human. Social creatures. There is love.

My dad was well-loved, and we were sad to see him go. I mention it because of the Trump kids. One day their dad is going to die. And when he does there will be millions ready to dance on his grave. I wonder how that feels, or if they care.

When my dad passed a few years ago, he requested no funeral but asked if we did want to do something to hold a celebration. Which we did, in a bowling alley because (my dad.) Way over a hundred people came. It was lovely.

I love that cats are not quite properly domesticated. "Semi-domesticated" in that humans never tamed them for our purposes (dogs, horses, sheep all are.) But they sort of claimed onto us. You draw in prey that I like to eat. And so I will tolerate you. Thousands of years later, nothing has changed

Growing up, my stepdad used to fly a hot air balloon. I used to help out on dozens of flights, and I've also flown in dozens more (I think 28 times?) He taught me about clouds, as obviously you want to know the atmosphere... This, FWIW, would not be a good day to fly.

"Pułkownik" means "coronel" in Polish. I have been reading Tana French's novels, and in the last one a character uses the phrase "shitehawk." I love it! I hope to call someone a shitehawk someday. But anyway, I also wanted to throw in a military title. But none of the standards felt right.

Sheep are so amazing anyway. I'm surprised we haven't figured out how to make them pets. They love to be cuddled and will nuzzle you back. I used to raise them too, and they would bring their young to you, like as a trust thing. "This is my baby."

I did a little digging into this, and from what I can tell this is controversial. But it may be that cats are the earliest domesticated animal. But "domesticated" has a lot of work. Other sources say dogs. But most actually suggest sheep as being the first.

So why is purring better than a good roar. If you have a cat, you should know. Purring is intimate, and lets the cat better speak to its mother. If you own cats, well... you are their mother. They don't need to yell because we are intimate. If you're a lion, on expansive savannah... you need volume

Why do cats purr, but no lion can? And why do the latter roar, but my cat can't? An ossified hyoid bone in their throat. It rattles when they purr. It only happens in our housecats, and cheetahs. Cats whose hyoid is not fused and harden, can make roaring sounds (but also, they cannot purr.)

My sister's name is Pamela. And I love it, if only because it is a truly artificial name. Someone made it up. But it has roots in Greek "pan" meaning "all," and "mela" meaning "honey or sweetness." "Very sweet." Aww... unless you meet her. My sister is pure acid and fire. I love her for it.

"El" = God. And "sheva" = perfection or literally "seven" (seven was considered a perfect number in Hebrew tradition.) You swore by God. It does not come from "house," which is "beth" in Hebrew. I presumed it was, but I was quite wrong.

One of my favorite surnames I dragged up was "Pierzchała." It means "she fled." I am 100% confident about the translation, but 0% on what it means. It belongs to one of my oldest friends.

"Zachod" means "west." "Po" means "below." "Morze" means "sea." Zachodniopomorskie means "the place west and below the sea." Which is just below the Baltic, sort of near Berlin.
