We also had sticky toffee pudding because...we had cream to use. Think we need to not buy cream for a while.

Wheyyyyy you graduated! (Either that or that's a really odd outfit) Congrats Andy 🙌🙌

Finally made that Marry Me Chicken thing like it's a decade ago, because we had some double cream to use. Can't deny it was nice.

They were v good. And in lederhosen

120

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Oh we finished the beer and food and off we went. I'm half an hour from home. It was honestly fine, beer I had was nice and food was ok. Oompah band down below was fun.

My own fault for going to a Munich Cricket Club. It was fine. Also how very dare you, who are you calling a raging homosexual, I've tried very hard to be calm recently 😘

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Wine before beer, makes you...etc. I had a Weiner Schnitzel. It was ok. I miss Austria. The wine and beer was nice.

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Excellent. Makes me feel better about Wine and a Stein Tuesday (went for a wine with a friend and ended up going for Bavarian food and a stein of beer after)

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

You've never seemed more attractive

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

I should introduce you to the husband. 8 in one sitting alone hasn't troubled him in the past

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

How many were you feeding even if they hadn't?

120

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Haven't had a bubble bath in I don't know how long. Sudden urge.

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Now, I'm sure he really thinks you are special... 😉

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

This was a well chosen and justified birthday card I got him, I have to say

2260

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

And pudding is nearly ready

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Contrast to yesterday's birthday fun, today just feels like it's been a long all day slog of domestic stuff. On the plus side, part of that has led to a very nice dinner 🙌🤤

Second part of his birthday surprise complete (and on the train home) - brisket and ribs (sides not pictured) at a gorgeous BBQ place. Also featuring a very nice and recommended Lebanese red, which apparently and surprisingly contains *nine* varieties...

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Haha just googled him, he would've been a fine addition, though the guy we had was good 👀

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

It was very very funny. Lolly is kinda a UK comedy actress legend and she was so good

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Part one of the husband's birthday surprise is complete. This was excellent. Lolly Adefope was superb in it!

A fan of this carpet. In case I'd not mentioned. Though the visible nap of the pile may drive me to distraction.

Ours briefly came on downstairs on Weds cos I opened the door for the cats and left it open and it dropped below 19 inside. Shut the door and not been even close to coming on since. Just got in bed, still 21.3, "summer duvet" on, which is autumn and spring basically, cos in summer is just the cover.

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

We have no heating on, ever, in our bedroom, and it's currently 21.4C in it. No shivering tonight.

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Right now that's the whole room, wherever you walk 🥰

020

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Oh god I can't wait til when I shiver when I get in bed and then it warms up around me under a thick duvet 🥰

120

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

When does the head happen?

000

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

There's furniture on it now, can't just roll around on it any more 🙄

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again.

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

You're so skilled. Reveal your secrets

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I love that. Inner Light for me, though

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Oh I agree. Meant which was your top favourite ep though 🙂

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Oh, not remotely. TNG is *my* Trek. My first love. What's your first favourite?

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Well, yes. Occasionally there were flashes of brilliance....and somd just average. But mostly, not. "The Price" and "Sub Rosa"...

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Admittedly at this point, hard to imagine Worf panning out differently. But still.

010

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

So disappointing. All that, plus her "just say no Wesley" speech. I'd have loved her to stay in. Worf could've been great in a different role, the Klingon didn't need to be security.

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I mean, helpful if someone under your bed needs to see

140

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Ohhhh powered *and* a light?! She fancy

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

New living room carpet laid today and it's lovely 🥰 been reassembling the room. It has that new carpet smell and everything Friday nights in our house are *wild* (we went out for one drink before getting on with it)

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Is...is that physically possible??

110

Rich @shiresrich.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Haha I wouldn't do that to him (probably)
