I'm in my hotel room bathroom. I can hear the guy in the room next door to me blowing his nose. If only that weren't the only thing I'd heard getting blown from that room tonight. I'm very glad I have good ear plugs. His female companion is also quite loud.

Supposed to have a (in person) physio appointment this morning at 10am, so dropped the husband at work so I could have the car and structured my work day around it all. Got a message at 7.30 cancelling it, no explanation. Just brilliant.

Survived a Sunday trip to IKEA. More to the point, so did everyone else. Also acquired a hotdog with mash in it, alongside pickled red cabbage, crispy onions, mustard and ketchup. Absolute filth. Inhaled it.

Right, we've done Voyage Home, then Wrath of Khan, and now it's Search for Spock. I've just googled and now know the real world reasons but god the ILM lighting on the ships and Spacedock in this one was dire. On the plus side, some of the scenes and lines in this are excellent🖖 Klingon bastards.

Haven't put my rings back on after ripping my fingers to pieces yesterday before today's MRI. I've worn one of these rings for 25 yrs and the other (that whole wedding ring thing) for 16...feels weird, but also, having gained like 6kg, I don't know I want to risk my circulation putting them back on.

The long (8 months) awaited MRI this morning on my spine. Was an anticlimax, after what others said I was ready for my nose touching the top of the tube and noise like being next to a jackhammer. The headset they gave me did have Capital Breakfast on though so not sure which would be better 🤷

Thanks to whichever absolute moron in the office turned the temp of the fridge where my lunch salad was to "permafrost". Everything frozen, and salad leaves react so well to that...totally inedible. Fuming. I was right, it's being a day.

Two people sat a couple of metres away from me in the office haven't muted their laptops. About 200 noises as they power up and it notifies of every sodding email and Teams messages. It's going to be a day, isn't it.

Almost 3 weeks since I had a health moan so... Woke up at 3 am with a crazy fever that hasn't yet broken. My nerve pain was also off the charts all night for the first time in...well, nearly 3 weeks. I feel horrific and frequently in a lot of pain which is an excellent combo.

Getting near to the end of our most recent TNG rewatch and we've come up against Force of Nature, which, apart from the lovely scenes with Spot, is *one of the worst* episodes of TNG. People bang on about series 2 but good lord, this was bilge.

Bank holiday excitement has continued after the garden centre with sorting some plants out (aka replacing the ones I've killed) then him doing a load of ironing while I folded and put away loads of clothes and prepped a pasta bake for dinner. Also phoned mum earlier. Truly the excitement never ends.

It's Bank Holiday Monday in the UK so obviously we've come to a garden centre. Both for some lunch, and to lower the average customer age.
