It's really interesting to see Souls style PvP in The Duskbloods where every character has access to everything, including melee, ranged, and spells. Giving every character a gun is especially awesome and adds so much depth as well as giving some solution to the age old problem of heal spam.

The Duskbloods is fun, it feels like Nightreign but a lot tighter. Having the goal to beat other players at the end is more fun to me as well, but I can see why a lot of people don't like PvP. Also there's schmovement... so much schmovement. Cool spacing and abilities, feels like a fighting game.

I never gave an update on this but I ended up just writing my own collision code, which was a headache. Now it does what you would reasonable expect it to do, and pretty quickly too. At one point I might consider proposing it as a GBS feature, but for now I'll keep testing it in my game.

I'll say it again: Reviews are the best way you can help a game you love (besides telling everyone you know about it!). If you like/love a game, pop a review on their Steam page. It makes the devs day, provides feedback, enhances the search algorithm and tells new players what to look out for.

I'm going to go insane crazy style... GB Studio doesn't actually have diagonal collision for actors? In the collision code, they just walk around things in the Y direction and then the X direction. Collision in the diagonal direction is never checked. Thousands of hours and I never noticed...

The best way to kill conversation on your Discord server is to shut down conversations for being "off topic" as if that is actually something that matters. It only matters when blocking other conversations... but when you're moderating like that your server won't be busy enough for that to happen!
