I forgot about this app for a hot second. Currently reading The Blood Orchid by Kylie Lee Baker. I’m devouring these duologies. Just started, but I loved The Scarlet Alchemist so I’m really looking forward to this one. 💙📚

Current read: Okay I need more books with older main characters and I felt like this story was so beautiful. I really am enjoying the dual timeline POV. 76% completed 💙📚 #booksky

Instagram is out to end me I swear. Suspended my original account for no reason. Created a new account and just gave up trying to recover said account. I regained access to OG account (yay) and then about five minutes before that they disabled my new acct (boo) for no reason.

Welp just had to email all of the companies I work with to let me know that IG has deleted my account. I’m so gutted. It’s so insane that it can be gone in seconds all because of some bullshit AI. 2+ years of hard work and building relationships just fucking gone in an instant.

I’m looking for alternative to bookstagram. I prefer the written format, does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe just post them on here? 💙📚

I wonder if I’ll actually get more reading done now that I don’t have an IG anymore. Can’t believe I only read four books so far this month. Time to kick it into high gear the rest of the month.

So Meta suspended my Bookstagram for actually no reason. So there’s that. It sucks because I spent 2 years on the account and it’s all gone. Man. I feel so upset and I know it’s just socials but oof so much time and energy gone just like that.

Hi everyone! It’s been a while. Just finished a great dystopian sci-fi today, The Jade Rebellion. Review to come soon. What are you reading? I’m about to start A Drop of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett. #📚💙 #booksky

In true mood reader fashion, I paused reading In the Lives of Puppets for Dating & Dragons. I really love YA and I love both of these books so much. Truly the book gods have smiled upon me with the great books to start the year. #booksky #💙📚

2025 means no number reading goals for me other than completing 10 book series I’ve previously started. Trying to have more fun and less rigidity. I’m also working through my physical tbr and NetGalley. I’m on StoryGraph and I love it so much more than GR. 🙌🏽 #blackbooksky #booksky

If nothing else good happens to me in 2025, I’m thankful to be dating an emotional intelligent, foiiiine, black man. The fact he’s 6’7 doesn’t hurt either. I have never felt more myself with someone. I love a calming energy. 💖 #blacksky

Here’s all the books to date I have read so far in 2024. (Photo from Bookshelf app). I didn’t track my minutes properly this year but other than that what a great reading year so far and still so much time left. 💕

“I have too many books” -judgemental -boring -implies impulse-control issues “The books... they have me.” - mysterious - occult - implies you are at the mercy of a library of books that have gained sentience and are holding you hostage #readingcommunity

I have recently finished Iron Widow by @xiranjayzhao.bsky.social and holy fuck dude. Now I knew it was a favorite of some but I did not want that it end. I am so happy I read it so close to the release of Heavenly Tyrant (comes out 12/24). I need to post a review, it’s amazing. 10/5 #bookthreads 🪐📚

Maybe it’s just me but the more I watch Tim Robinson the more I’m attracted to him. I’m not mad at it. 👀

I now know what it’s like to be God’s favorite. I came home to a finished copy of A Monsoon Rising ahead of release date. Never did I expect to receive this after getting the arc. I love it here. 🫨😭🥹

A Monsoon Rising…wow. I loved it more than The Hurricane Wars. Didn’t think that was possible but man I’m out here just dissociating really needing that next book right now. #booksky

Currently reading A Monsoon Rising by Thea Guanzon and it is everything I hoped and more. This is definitely my favorite romantasy series to date. True enemies to lovers. Really just obsessed at this point.

Another day, another book read last night I read less by Andrew Sean Greer. I don’t know anyone that has read this book but I had such a good time with it. It was both lighthearted and heavy where it needed to be. Loved that balance. I laughed out loud and it was needed after last week. 💛 #booksky
