Spark have launched their new “Upgrader” program which is basically the same as One NZ “One Wallet Phone Dollars”, it just displays trade in value + promotional discounts in a fancy bar graph that still only spreads most of the discount over 24+ months for interest free payments for a new phone

Happy 3rd Birthday to Quest 3. Still the best standalone headset on the market. I don’t mind talking highly of hardware made by Meta because they’ve lost tens of billions of dollars on developing VR/MR, continue to lose millions & have very little to show for it as it has remained a niche market

It’s actually wild to see what people are using AI for in the gaming & software space, using it against big companies like Adobe, Nintendo & Sony. Wish I had a beefier PC to try out some of the VR mods being made for various games too. Gotta get some enjoyment out of the capitalist hellscape, right?

Watching some hands on videos with the Duo. Apple is the best at making smooth software animations & transitions which they have nailed again with the Duo folding 3D blur animation when opening & closing the screen 🤩 But apart from the price, I don't think I could handle the matte inner screen 🤢

I've not got one yet because it's crazy expensive and because of how delicate folding screens are. Anything that can be permanently dented by a fingernail is a complete non-starter to me, not that I'm rough with my tech but if I'm spending a few thousand dollars on something it needs to last 🥴

I can see Apple calling their folding phone "iPhone Duo" for it's exclusive software feature probably of the name to run two apps at once on the folding screen therefore saving "iPhone Ultra" for the 20th anniversary iPhone next year. I played with the Fold 8 again today, crazy technology 🤯
