I may not have a signature style yet, but I feel like this vase looks like mine and no one else's and I'm super proud of that. Inspired by roadside trees as I was driving on an overcast day. #pottery 🧶

Gorgeous! Do we know anything about whether/how these jars were sealed? I don't see any lid fragments, or galleries, and it seems like the shape of the neck was not designed for a lid with a flange. Were they sealed in some other way or left open?

Thank you! I should have explained better - it is just for washing strawberries, but now you've given me an idea for a novelty strawberry planter!!!

Another interesting new glaze combo I'm really enjoying - Studio White and Copper Blush. Copper Blush doesn't normally crawl like this, but it does over this white! #pottery 🧶

My first go with oxides. Excited to try more. I feel like these are going to get addictive. So much depth! #pottery 🧶

My first go at Amaco Chalk Crayons. I did not like working with them at all, but am happy enough with the results to try them again! #pottery 🧶

Love how this combo of our studio FRZ and Shiny Bones glazes turned out! This is a combo I use often, but have never done on dark clay before. I love commercial glazes, but there is something special about playing with the community glazes. Winner! #pottery 🧶

It just struck me that mama swan (or father swan?) surely has a memory of sitting on their parents back like this as a cygnet, which is such a lovely thought.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that a healthy garden sees the entire cycle of life, and that the death of one of our beautiful mourning doves is part of that cycle. The cooing dove outside my window as I work right now is hitting a little differently. #gardening #gardensky

Heartbreaking. And even harder to understand are the number of people defending the actions of the police. Do they really want to live in a society where we have zero right to resist those in power and have no right to due process?

The set is complete - herb containers I've thrown for the herbs I dry from my garden. I may need to add to my dry-able herbs so I can keep making these. In order from oldest to latest. I wish I saw more progression in my skills. In some ways I like the earlier ones best. #pottery #ceramics 🧶

For the one fountain I've thrown, fiddling with the pump to get the exact right amount of flow has taken way more time than throwing the pieces!

Valid, but in the pottery world at least, many of us work out of community studios. It is still an expensive hobby, but significantly less so if you aren't purchasing your own equipment.

Pitcher. I'm not in love with the glaze combo, but it is my tallest piece to date and my best handle so far.

Hori horis are the absolute best gardening tool. They can be used to dig, weed , even cut through small saplings that pop up in the garden. They wouldn't make a great weapon, though.
