Capcom Engineers are building tools that aren't just Game Industry leading, but Tech Industry leading. And making it open source. But this will neither get coverage or apprication. Instead people will blindly fall for clickbait.

So the fastest JSON serializer for .NET now is developed by CAPCOM as part of their game engine that powers Resident Evil / Biohazard

I did not see that coming lol

https://github.com/CAPCOM-TD-OSS/REDox

They’re also doing their own memory-management work underneath this. Instances are managed in 64 KB pages, with page reference counting plus cache and GC optimizations. The goal seems to be reducing the cost of managing huge numbers of objects while improving locality and avoiding some of the fragmentation problems they’ve had before.
This also makes CAPCOM’s REDox project much more interesting.

REDox is their open-source .NET serialization/data library, with JSON, CBOR, MessagePack-style structured data handling, lazy decoding, streaming, compact token storage, etc.
At first glance it just looks like a standalone .NET library.
In context, it looks much more like the kind of infrastructure they can write and test normally in C#, then feed into this RE:Runtime / RE:C++ pipeline and ship as native engine code.

So it turns out that DJ Cutman has been a narcissist. But not only that, he hasn't been handling his licensed well to the point where he's getting sued, as well as his AI project, Snuggle Bunch, which he put out a statement, but it doesn't look like he's actually owning up to it.

Is it wrong that I want to see someone do a video about all the shit DJ Cutman is doing and what he has done?

Just in case you didn't know ModRetro fucking sucks and "Automated War Initiative" is a disgusting title Also, War Crime Enthusiast Palmer Luckey is incredibly thin skinned and will chase you around various social media platforms if you talk sauce about him and his shitty M64. Worth it.

FB comment:

Palmer Luckey: Mike Fink the M64 is $230 not $320 and it is far more powerful than the Mister. We developed our own core and open sourceed all the hardware and software

And Aduril helps kill Russians, not children

Me: Palmer Free Luckey that's without the controller, not included, which is $90

And also fuck you

We still clown on you with memes
Palmer Luckey and is shit handheld emulator, along with other fascists that don't care about human life, like Elon Musk and JD Vance

I mean, just look at this - the same scene from A Wild Hare, but the left is from a 1990 Turner special while the right is the currently circulating Warner copy. It really just does look like night and day.

The Turner print of A Wild Hare. The colors are incredibly off, to the point where it looks like fall.

Currently circulating WB copy of A Wild Hare, with far more vibrant colors.
