Canary Wharf is undecorated, but at least it's an arch. Built in an age of architectural debasement, this entrance might have been topped with a concrete slab or box, but Norman Foster chose to emulate a higher form of architecture. More of that, please! #canarywharf

The Meccano-like structure of Henry Edward Coe's Olympia Exhibition Centre (1885) is a decorative feature in its own right, and the cross bracing gets the occasional red rosette covering a joint. We love the magic of glass roofs like these. #olympiaexhibition
