Chris Cenac is an unusual prospect. He's big, but he doesn't always play like that. I dive into Cenac's style of play at Link Academy, potential role at Houston and strong tools that provide room for scalability sheedinatl.substack.com/p/chris-cena...

Chris Cenac and the anatomy of a unicorn
Houston's Cenac is 6'10", but too often plays smaller than that. Should he relish a scaled down role instead?

good morning, here’s my piece on Baylor’s Tounde Yessoufou: i talk about his defense, two-way potential, a more realistic comp than Anthony Edwards as well as some of the main questions i have about Yessoufou for next season sheedinatl.substack.com/p/tounde-yes...

i've kept an eye on FIBA U18 Eurobasket overall it feels like it could be a weaker bunch than the 2024 U18's which produced four 1st round NBA draft picks this summer, but still some really interesting prospects to look out for sheedinatl.substack.com/p/u18-euroba...

the New Orleans Pelicans paid a lot to trade up and get Derik Queen at 13. But they still have Zion Williamson and Yves Missi. And they also signed Kevon Looney what is Queen's role in this ill-fitting ensemble? I examine his struggle playing with Missi sheedinatl.substack.com/p/i-have-no-...

a possible positive indicator for JT Toppin: it does feel like he's becoming more of a willing shooter from three when left open. During the past month, his volume has jumped to 6.4 threes per 100 possessions (up from 2.8 until Feb 14th). percentage up to 36% from <30% prior to Feb 14

Bennett Stirtz v Bradley, Arch Madness, let's watch some film 👇 (THREAD) a couple of simple, but very well executed reads by Stirtz. Really like how he keeps the ball on a string in the first clip, keeps his options open, waits until defender commits onto him, bounce pass for an easy layup

if there's a thing that's going to be a make-or-break factor for Cooper Flagg in his path to NBA superstardom, it's the development of his handle doesn't react to ball pressure well here at all and tries to get himself out of it with an elbow, a clear and obvious foul

a thread on Ace Bailey's passing and defense from the Michigan game Michigan start by trapping Ace in p&r's. The first one, Ace does very well to anticipate a trap and hit a roller. The second one, Goldin takes a more agressive angle to force Ace further out, he fumbles the one-handed pass

Javon Small is one of my favourite (if not the favourite) senior in this years draft class he hits that sweet high frequency 3 point and elite FT% intersection. The 3 point percentages aren't elite, but that's in part due to WVU's offensive imbalance since Tucker DeVries's injury (short thread)
