Recent #fallenlondon event had a surprise twist where A FLEET OF SHIPS OVERTAKEN BY EYE-STEALING SPIDERS amalgamated to pilot them has been awakened to menace London's waters. Samuel did in fact lose his missing eye to eye-stealing spiders so HES UH. DOING GREAT!!!!

in morning lounge wear and drinking tea, Zagel contemplates the similarities of wall scuttling activities that poodle sized beetles and multi legged spindle wolves delight in doing, as Bernard (poodle sized beetle) scuttles playfully across the apartment walls.

Zagel carefully puts on Bernard's harness and clips the lead to it, while the poodle sized beetle excitedly yet politely wiggles all of it's appendages. WALKIES surrounded with many hearts is written in the background to make up for the fact this was doodled at like 3 am and was unsure how visually clear the harness was

Zagel, in longue wear sits curled up on the vague notion of a couch with legs crossed and tail wrapped around. Bernard is flopped in his lap, no thoughts head empty full of bliss, as Zagel drumroll taps his fingers across the poodle sized beetle's shell while reading some letters.

Zagel, standing, has hefted an entire poodle sized beetle into his arms, which was the only acceptable reaction to Bernard being so excited to visit his beetle-sitter. One of Bernard's leggies is caught up in and messing up Zagel's hair, but Zagel is still happy to affectionately hold the beetle he wasn't expecting to make friends with.

The imp overseeing the law furnace says, "Right. Fallen London is a game where I sometimes buy an item I absolutely do not need, instead of any of the items I do need, solely b/c the text for buying it says "maybe you've worn it too long, and are afraid of how hard it will be to pull off" and thats delightful to imagine for my guy #fallenlondon

the new #fallenlondon agents feature lets you loan equipment to the luckless captain so he can do tasks for you in the background, and if you got the "Loyal Nightmare of Poor Edward" in #lightfingers ... that counts as equipment....

A comic that begins with the Luckless Captain from Fallen London, studying maps in his cabin. In the second panel, he's dozed off at his desk as the candle burns low, and the image transitions to a dream in the next panel: the Luckless Captain looks around, stunned, to find himself standing in the bright white hallway of the Nightmare-Orphanage, with hallways and doors and stairs sitting at impossible angles, upside-down and sideways. In the next panel, the Captain looks around, frightened, asking "What manner of nightmare..." while behind him, a dark shadow is cast across the askew hallway, with Poor Edward's tragic red mask emerging from the shadow. "Ah," Poor Edward says, "you must be the Luckless Captain." The Captain turns to face him, teeth grit and wide-eyed. Poor Edward bows, smiling cruelly behind his mask, and adds "I'm told I'm meant to look after you."

When the lorn-fluke attacked London a year ago, Sam only knew how to shoot it, but friend's oc Lukas (slightly-sigilant on tumblr) reached out to apologise in its language. Samuel stands nervously beside the canon, but Lukas has reached out a hand to stop him, the other hand outstretched to the zee beyond, with a desperate expression, and is singing correspondence sigils as smoke curls off his hair and mouth. The whole image has the texture and dulled colours of an older photo. The second image is fully coloured, a ship racing through a flaming zee towards the lorn-fluke, a giant sea-urchin like creature with a single glowing eye that floods the whole scene with searing pink light, whose spines seem to fill the whole sky. The final image follows this one -- Samuel, as he is now stands on deck, lit by the same searing light, hand outstretched and giving his all to singing the same correspondence that Lukas sang a year ago, hair singing and his eye tearing up.
