I remember when i did a year and a half of art school at a public university, the professors sucked fine arts dick so hard and anything "commercial" was relentlessly shit on. People would talk about leyendecker and rockwell with open disdain and it was such corny loser behavior.

My number one complaint with the writing is that the entire game is predicated on the idea of using allies to accomplish what you cant alone, and then every single scene is inexplicably written...... as solo quest adventures?!!??!

I just finished chapter 1 with all characters and am working on chapter 2 and so far Octopath is like 6/10. The writing really suffers accross the board and the gameplay loop gets old p quick with how linear the options are. Its decently pretty. Hopefully the writing picks up.
