Now that I've had some more time with it I'm not as impressed as I was, but it's honestly still a great game! Does a lot to improve upon some of the baselines that Quake 1 set up and feels way smoother as a result Just some of the creativity was lost somewhere in translation

Gave the Belmont's Curse demo a spin and overall pretty good. I have some concerns for certain things being problematic later on, but the visuals and general feel are great. Love the idea of tarot cards representing abilities Def wanna check it out at launch

Wrapped up Infinite Warfare's campaign and yeah, that was great! Granted there's some pretty big issues I got with the core narrative, but everything else is a massive improvement over the dark ages CoD campaigns were in for a few games before its release

Love or hate Deadlock, I have to say one of more underratedly good things the team is doing is fleshing out the world early through all the dialogue. It's a small thing, but it gives much more reason to give a damn about the characters, alongside the incredible character designs

Latest review up! Had a ton of fun with Well Dweller, as to be expected from a Kyle Thompson metroidvania. A little on the easy side, but still a blast that keeps the momentum flowing while being shockingly hilarious

Watched Resident Evil tonight and big surprise, it was great. Had some problems toward the end, but it was very faithful while still trying to do its own thing. That and it was lovingly goofy at times Faithfulness complainers need to find a hobby instead of staring at the wiki

Tried to give that Bloodborne emulator a spin last night but sadly it has a very tragic memory leak. Can't play for more than 30 minutes before it starts to stutter like crazy, and an hour before it crashes Ah well, maybe I'll come back in a year to see if its been fixed

Gave the first two hours of FF Resonance a spin and overall, I'm hopeful! Really loving the visuals, the music seems to hit a nice mix of honoring the past while having some great unique pieces, and the combat flows quite well Have a few smaller concerns, but excited either way

Writing up my draft and I wanted to add that Hawks is one of my favorite examples of a customizable protagonist I've seen in a long time Frankly I'm surprised by just how many lessons the team took from Mass Effect's MC and squad dynamics. Can tell the team loves the franchise
