btw, I see the page headers have changed in your doc and it is subtle but I think it makes the page easier to read fwiw
screenshot of two pages side-by-side. one has a dark strip at the top and the other has a lighter strip. both pages use a a blue-ish monochrome design.

I'm not quote posting this because I'm not really interested in the AI coding conversation. What caught my interest was the car-centric viewpoint.
Screenshot of a Bluesky post from Paul Frazee: "People who aren't using Al to code at this point are delusional or lying, trying to ride a horse down the highway and backing up the traffic instead of asking "what can we do to make cars safer and electric."
They have no ethical high ground"

This reminded me of the Space Rescue Corps in West End Games. I really loved that West End game players so many options of things to be besides just "rebels."
Screenshot from a Star Wars D6 character template. There's a human in a flight suit giving a thumbs up sign. The text underneath reads:

Equipment: Space Rescue Corps uniform (black with crimson trim) or vacuum environmental suit, emergency suit sealant pack, emergency comlink, blaster pistol (4D), stock EVA rescue pod

Background: Nothing is so welcome to spacers in distress than the sight of a bright red and black Space Rescue cutter. The Space Rescue Corps has changed very little from the days of the Old Republic, which suits
you fine - you're in this business to help people, not shoot at them or search their cargo holds. Your parents were spacers and you were jockeying cargo pods when you were just a kid. It only seemed natural to become a member of the Corps when you got out of school. You know all there is to know about the dangers of deep space travel. You also know there aren't nearly enough trained personnel to go around when something goes wrong.

Mine has the @hodagrpg.bsky.social special edition cover
A party of fantasy adventurers stands under a brick archway. The top of the graphic says DUNGEON in large block lettering. The art style is hand drawn comic book.

Me and my kids are now proud owners of the coolest library card in Los Angeles County.
It is a photo of a LA County Library card with the words “The Laufey Book Club” and the Laufey Book Club crest emblem on the card. The background sketch is the office of the library system.

Also, in case this is unclear please read the following sign (courtesy of @danhon.com.) I have played Traveller off and on since I was in Junior High School, I know what the Scout Service "technically" is that's not what I'm staring off into the stars and pondering here.
A digital sticker says "I do not want or need your help" and "DO NOT REPLY"

Wish we could get back to talking about the beautiful game
Cover art for the video game, Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe.

Side note: I find it curious that one can work around bsky's UI-based anonymity afforded by a block with their search feature. (I'm sure all of this data is exposed in the atproto API but I'm way too busy to go digging around in that. The fact that I can get around it with a search seems subpar.)
Screenshot of a bsky timeline post thread. The first post is a blocked post and gives not indidcation as to whom the poster was. The second post is from Erin Kissane and says "robots should not enter into conversations uninvited."A screenshot of a bsky search. The query is for the text "robots should not enter conversations uninvited." The results show a post from Erin Kissane but unlike the timeline post, this shows the user account metadata that the reply was made to.

Worth having this info as context to the challenges LA City/County faces:
Screenshot of tweet from @paulmitche11 that says:

“Ok, this is insane.
...
In the City of Los Angeles, 300,000 ballots have been returned, and over 90k of them came in TODAY.
That means in one day we received 29.7% of all the votes cast so far in the city. Countywide it was 28.3% of all ballots just today.“

These all read like the prompts Anthropic gave Claude Code in hopes of “controlling” the output which all give off a “please, please.. just act normal and don’t be weird on main” vibe.
Screenshot of a block of code within the Claude Code repo leak:

export function getUndercoverInstructions(): string {
  if (process.env.USER_TYPE === 'ant') {
    return `## UNDERCOVER MODE — CRITICAL

You are operating UNDERCOVER in a PUBLIC/OPEN-SOURCE repository. Your commit
messages, PR titles, and PR bodies MUST NOT contain ANY Anthropic-internal
information. Do not blow your cover.

NEVER include in commit messages or PR descriptions:
- Internal model codenames (animal names like Capybara, Tengu, etc.)
- Unreleased model version numbers (e.g., opus-4-7, sonnet-4-8)
- Internal repo or project names (e.g., claude-cli-internal, anthropics/…)
- Internal tooling, Slack channels, or short links (e.g., go/cc, #claude-code-…)
- The phrase "Claude Code" or any mention that you are an AI
- Any hint of what model or version you are
- Co-Authored-By lines or any other attribution

Write commit messages as a human developer would — describe only what the code
change does.

GOOD:
- "Fix race condition in file watcher initialization"
- "Add support for custom key bindings"
- "Refactor parser for better error messages"

BAD (never write these):
- "Fix bug found while testing with Claude Capybara"
- "1-shotted by claude-opus-4-6"
- "Generated with Claude Code"
- "Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <…>"
`
  }
  return ''
}

Case in point: Here's Bluesky's Developer Relations employee telling someone the entire userbase is nuts. If Bluesky had any notion of product management this type of unforced communication error wouldn't happen (and they make these errors all the time.)
Alex @alex.bsky.team skeeted: "our userbase is already conspiracy brained enough about our rationale for suspensions without us making it this easy for them to accidentally entrap themselves"
