I used to do ballet and modern dance workshops when I was in my teens in the summer holidays at The Glen Estate near Peebles (owned by the Glenconners). It’s not uncommon to see her around the Scottish Borders. Same with Princess Anne.

The child-catcher was the scariest thing I’d ever seen and my family watched the film all the time! I liked it but was terrified of him so my mum used to bring a sleeping bag down so I could hide in it and cover my ears when she warned me he was about to appear.

I’m jealous! I usually have had 2 at a time but one died last year very unexpectedly aged 5 (I was devastated & can still get upset about it). My brother had 5 cats at one stage then married someone allergic to cats 🤷‍♀️. That would have been a deal breaker for me. I’ll never not have a cat.

The bottom line is still the best little note I ever received. And yes, I did work on the Pope’s book - many years ago now! (This is my jotting down notes writing, not my my normal handwriting btw…!)

@jrubba.bsky.social Re my Cotswolds visit, I’m driving down on Thursday then have the conference in Oxford on Friday. I’m staying in M-u-W over the weekend before heading home on Monday. If you’re free sometime over the weekend it would be nice to see you but no problem if you’re busy.
