More in why I love your dog but I really don't want my own dog: I am minding my beloved grandpuppy while her moms are occupied. Puppy is currently crying in her crate because if she doesn't stay there while I take a shower, she will poop on the carpet. Even though I took her out twice this morning.

This Stanford Neurodiversity Summit panel is important, in considering neurodivergent people who need a lot of support due to complex physical, communication, and cognitive disabilities—and how those of us who support them can do so with respect and understanding, during both crises and good times.

Autism acceptance isn't about pretending everything is fine if it isn't. It means understanding why autistic people do things, not blaming them (or your autistic self) when it's hard, or when you have competing needs. Ideally, it also means cherishing joy harder. (So much harder.) #neurodiversity

All of my peeps, please understand that Christine Jenkins’s research on autism and perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause is vital. I agree with her that we need much more research in these areas, particularly among underserved populations.

A good interview by AB King with our Senior Editor, at @thinkingautism.com, @shannonrosa.bsky.social Shannon Des Roches. I’d say we’re good with social science or so-called “hard” science, as long as the research is geared toward better QOL for #AutisticPeople. Pseudoscience OTOH ticks us off.
