Great second episode of #Survivor51! Big tribes are fun because there was enough space for a communal Eric vote, into a real Ana vote over the top, with still some space left over for what on earth Rob was doing #Survivor

It’s episode 2 & everyone bar Lewis has been to tribal! The average episode that everyone had been to tribal from 41-50 was just over 5. Love getting to see the players actually play early! #Survivor #Survivor51

Through the first 2 tribals from 41-50, only 5 people stayed in the game having written down the name of someone still in the game. Keeping in that conflict was great & often caused drama, but was limited due to small tribes, lost votes & unanimous dynamics #Survivor

Obsessed with Rob not only not being able to vote for himself, but even if he did it would’ve meant nothing because he was left out of the actual vote. The plan failed on so many levels #Survivor51 #Survivor

I’m already all in on Jenna’s underdog story. The newly divorced wedding photographer sounds like a rom com character, the bouncing back from almost being first boot arc writes itself & she wears her heart on her sleeve with the audience #Survivor #Survivor51

I feel like no one is ever saying they want no idols, twists and advantages, which is anyway so broad. Grouping all that in like people who want a final 4 vote are out of touch, old school purists is so disingenuous #Survivor #Survivor51

Is a Rivals theme for newbies who don’t know each other silly? Yes. Could a cast of public figures be concerning? Sure. But to defend #SurvivorAU, many seasons have worked in spite of stupid themes, & they’ve cast many riveting famous people. Their quality level earns them the benefit of the doubt.

The #Survivor50 format was so fragmented that Aubry only went to 9 tribals (pretty standard for the new era) in a 24 person cast. To compare, this is:

I got to speak with Cirie minutes after her Fan Favorite win about everything coming full-circle 20 years later, and why she was so emotional to get that standing ovation at the beginning of the #Survivor50 finale

I don't get the argument that Jonathan should've beaten Aubry, as, by his and the other players' own admission, she was the threat that needed to be taken out. Jonathan is a challenge guy who lost that FIC, his mission was to take her out & he failed, then it's her's to win #Survivor #Survivor50

I'll always see #Survivor50 as the missed opportunity season. There were so many highs, some great characters, some beautiful storytelling & fun antics, some great nods to what makes #Survivor incredible.

So many missed opportunities for a season meant to be about #Survivor's legacy. We had loved ones & a car, but I would've loved to see these as proper, high stakes, old school style challenges, & I would've loved to hear from pre-jury legends at the finale #Survivor50

Tiffany was a fun part of this season, & I really enjoyed all the old school, #Survivor 46 style emotion she brought, often to open the episode after a blindside #Survivor50

I love the way Aubry spoke to her story at FTC. She reminded me of why I’ve been a fan for a decade. I felt she was limited this season, but her #Survivor career has some of the highest highs of what I value in this game, & I’m glad that legacy now has a win #Survivor50

This season was a battle of 2 value systems: strategy V “loyalty”. New school V old school. Beach people V shelter. It’s #Survivor’s oldest duality &, just as season 1, just as it has so many times before, across franchises, I’m so glad it won out here #Survivor50
